Community Tard Baby General (includes brain dead kids) - Fundies and their genetic Fuckups; Parents of corpses in denial

Anyone else get a little cognitive dissonance from the judge ruling that Archie is both long dead and being physically harmed? I can see from a dignity aspect, no kid would want pictures of themselves emaciated and diapered and slowly rotting online for everyone to see. "You are burdening this corpse" is an angle I didn't expect. It's more palatable than "you are wasting so much time and money" I guess?

I know what you mean - it’s not as though he’s suffering in any way, though it’s not what most people would want for their loved one, however dead. But I think it’s as much for the hospital staff and the family as Archie. It would ultimately be much better for the family if they could accept this, however reluctantly and unhappily, and the life support could be removed in a planned way when they can be there to say goodbye.

The longer this goes on, the more his body is going to deteriorate in distressing ways, and the more Hollie is going to see it as evidence of deliberate neglect. And when he does finally transition to even more dead it might be in the middle of the night, she might not even be there, and do you think she’s then going to accept it as the will of God? She’s more likely to start screaming about murder and threatening to sue everyone she can.

I can sympathize with Hollie a bit here. Watching someone fade away and deteriorate is an awful process, especially when they are alive to watch themselves get weaker and weaker and their body fail them. It's "lucky" I suppose Archie isn't slightly conscious to feel himself die over the span of months. I think Hollie is a stupid whore, but I don't wish being an observer of a slow death onto anyone - although unfortunately, she herself is the one causing the inevitable to be prolonged. It's tragic he didn't get to live a fulfilled life, but no one can change what's happened, and she's gotta let the kid (or what's left of him) move on.

The wierd thing is in that judgment it says multiple times that the family understands he is going to die and soon, but wants it to happen "naturally'.

So why not just unplug the vent? It seems to me they're lying to the courts and everyone who's trying to help them, nodding along saying yes we understand but really they think if they can just keep stalling and keep him plugged in forever God will be along with a miracle/he will last forever.

I think they're holding hope they might get him to an Italian vent farm like the Taleeba girl they keep going on about, not understanding that Taleeba is a healthy, active kid compared to Archie. She's said to be "minimally aware" and her brainstem is clearly not fucked like archies becuse her body is still holding up.

Eta: looks like the vigil was a washout hence the "technical issues"

The fact that the judge ruled that he needs to be taken off life support and allowed to die (even though he's dead but you know what I mean) and the mom wants to appeal because she doesn't believe it is absolutely atrocious. Top hat me, but she's one of the worst I've seen.
Good thing you weren't around for the Jahi McMath saga, that was even worse. Her trashy, scumbag mother is the reason why New Jersey passed a law stating that dead people on vents cannot be transferred over state lines into New Jersey to be kept alive indefinitely, reserving that "right" for state residents. It was also very clear why she wanted her kept alive; California (where she died initially) has a payout cap for dead people, but for living (or "living") but permanently disabled people there was no cap. And Mama Nails fought like hell for unlimited money to fund her trashy, self-centered lifestyle.

I'm 1000% sure that if the UK system enabled her, Hollie would be another Mama Nails. I'm very interested to see how she's going to milk this after he's gone. Prediction: absolutely massive big fat gypsy wedding style horse drawn funeral costing enough to save the lives of 20 kids with survivable cases of HIE.

Oh shit, you’re right, they will absolutely do this. People will be lining the streets, performatively weeping and wearing purple, tying purple ribbons to trees and lampposts etc.

These people are so painfully stupid, my god. “He needs food to get his strength up”. Yep, I’m sure that’s all his liquified brain needs, calories… that’ll sort him right out.

I have a bit of a theory about the people who latch onto these campaigns. They think loving your kid is the only thing required to be a good parent. They probably aren’t the best parents themselves, for myriad reasons. So to make themselves feel better about their own shortcomings, they join these FB groups to rant about never, ever giving up on your kid. Even if they’re a corpse on life support… never give up!

A lot of them probably don't even truly love their kids, because they're far too narcissistic for that.

Guarantee at least 95% of the "people" on that group are the type who would "do anything for me kids" unless that involves cooking for them, reading to them, taking them to the swingpark, or anything else that might interrupt a busy day of being on the fucking dole.
I get extra mad because I was raised in a poverty ridden shithole but by christ my parents (and my pals' parents) worked hard for shit pay in shit jobs and always made sure we were clean, fed, warm and clothed.

Snippets from reddit for completeness when this becomes a digital archaeological record.

Contextual information gathered: pre scrub Hollies Facebook showed that she was an anti 5g campaigner. She has also had a history of getting involved in long legal battles, with the school and I wonder if she was involved in that nasty case of the violent male relative I found a few pages back.

And were we aware that the Christian Legal Centre was behind this at least a month ago and have been presumably funding it all along? They were involved in the legal cases bought by the Gard and Evans families, including vexatious attempts to cast criminal doubt on the hospitals treatment of their children. According to one redditor they tried to bring a murder charge in the Evans case.

Also an anon but 3 year old reddit account claims to be an eye witness to the hanging. No further posts.

Yeah I know so many young teens who are struggling majorly with their mental health the last couple of years. Moreso than usual at this age.

One of mine is just turned 14, diagnosed autism, also assessed as likely an anxiety disorder, but our good ol' CAMHS "don't treat anxiety in autistic kids". She's a shell of herself. Has barely been at school for two years, self harming, disordered eating, spontaneous crying, swings between sleeping constantly and insomnia.

I wont lie, the posts about kids that age only having issues if theyve got shitty parents is stinging. I'm doing everything I can. I've had her back and forward to the GP since October 2020 and she finally has an 'urgent' appointment with CAMHS next week, after already been cancelled on.

Mental health support in the UK is woefully inadequate. She needs help, and I need help to help her, but its just not there.
OK but what's she going to wear to the funeral?
Slutty dress and platforms

They’re not smart enough to be narcs.

Bingo.

Interesting to hear that Hollie allegedly had a four year battle to find a school to take Alfie, bearing in mind in the Reddit screenshot above it says he’d been in school for four years. That takes us right back to him starting school aged 4-5. The most likely scenario is that he started Reception (Kindergarten equivalent), was almost immediately expelled and then no other school could/would take him. Unusual but not impossible I guess. I’m surprised there aren’t any newspaper reports from the time corroborating that story. She’s clearly not backward about crying to the newspapers - hence the ear drops story in the Daily Mail.

You need to visit the Misty Henry thread. Stupid narcs are hilarious.

Help me out here as I’m in the US, but don’t public schools have to take district children? Even when Chris got recommended to a special school they were still able to get him into public. How bad does a kid have to be for all the schools to deny him access?

Something seems fishy about all that.
