Even so, it demonstrates that Norway is willing to follow its own rules.

If you put it in to context as well that Norway was occupied by Nazis and have struggled long and hard to be an independent modern nation, it makes sense.

I don’t disagree it feels that they are rewarding a piece of shit, but the prick would have not felt the need to sue if he thought everything was fair.

Better being a nation which will hear a case from a reviled person than being a nation which denies justice.

I'm up for his case being heard, but not having a ps4 is not a human rights abuse. I mean, neither is him killing civilians if Iraq war is any metric, but still.

The article linked above says he only won on the issue of solitary confinement. The other issues were dismissed.

I believe it was for a PS3 upgrade from a PS2 (in 2014 yet so the PS3 was hardly new tech) and was a small part of his overall arguement. It's still mind-fucking boggling that their legal system would allow free consoles for even white-collar inmates let alone murdering neo-Nazi fuckbags, but I also can't blame him for trying to get all he can out of said system if he can get it.

If a nation is so cucked that it allows that vidya and moisturizing cream are basic needs of life and civilized care, fucking suck up all you can until they learn.

His actual statement was that he felt Norway has too liberal social policies, and he sort of did actually demonstrate that with his ridiculous lolsuit. It raises an interesting question of how ridiculous you have to look before abandoning a basic social principle, but also whether that principle even makes sense at all if it brings you to this point. If you are now in a situation where you are coddling the murderer of your own countrymen's children and giving him what the poor in your own country don't have, of what use was your liberalism?
