All those games are years ago by this point, Capcom fucked up Resident Evil too for years to the point that series seemed dead as well, then all of a sudden it had a comeback, we went from Umbrella Corps to RE7 in one year (less than a year even?)
There's zero reason to just act like it's impossible the game could be good, that's all I'm saying, I would think Capcom would clearly want SF6 to be a comeback for the series like RE7 was for Resident Evil, the whole RE Engine era has been a real renaissance for Capcom, exactly the shot in the arm they needed.
And even during the shitty days of 2009-2016 Capcom still released a few gems like Dead Rising 2.
Capcom did get weirdly retarded for a while there, especially in 2016, but clearly they've chosen to take a different approach, what have they released since 2017 that's been some major stinker?
Like I said, you got a real axe to grind over past games, doesn't mean they haven't learned their lesson and won't do better with SF6.
I'm not going to say it's impossible the game will disappoint, but the amount of bashing it's receiving and people acting like it's shit when it won't even be out for another year is... bizarre imo.
If Resident Evil could have the comeback it did there's no reason why Street Fighter couldn't have the same, I mean have you PLAYED RE6? It's a small miracle the series managed to survive that debacle.
