Street Fighter 6 + Darkstalkers News! - *Morrigan laugh*

All those games are years ago by this point, Capcom fucked up Resident Evil too for years to the point that series seemed dead as well, then all of a sudden it had a comeback, we went from Umbrella Corps to RE7 in one year (less than a year even?)

There's zero reason to just act like it's impossible the game could be good, that's all I'm saying, I would think Capcom would clearly want SF6 to be a comeback for the series like RE7 was for Resident Evil, the whole RE Engine era has been a real renaissance for Capcom, exactly the shot in the arm they needed.

And even during the shitty days of 2009-2016 Capcom still released a few gems like Dead Rising 2.

Capcom did get weirdly retarded for a while there, especially in 2016, but clearly they've chosen to take a different approach, what have they released since 2017 that's been some major stinker?

Like I said, you got a real axe to grind over past games, doesn't mean they haven't learned their lesson and won't do better with SF6.

I'm not going to say it's impossible the game will disappoint, but the amount of bashing it's receiving and people acting like it's shit when it won't even be out for another year is... bizarre imo.

If Resident Evil could have the comeback it did there's no reason why Street Fighter couldn't have the same, I mean have you PLAYED RE6? It's a small miracle the series managed to survive that debacle.

Nothing about SF6 looks real worrying, Chunners looks fine.

You guys just have a real axe to grind with this series because of V, but I honestly don't see the issue with SF6, only thing I don't like is that freaky Italian gladiator woman, but the game is probably a full year away, they could retool her or cut her entirely.

I'm not saying it's impossible the game will wind up disappointing, I'm just saying you guys are getting way ahead of yourselves by being this negative before it actually comes out.
when i first read here that blocking attacks burns your meter i was really worried, but after reading more about it, it's not the end of the world i think, because the burnout that happens when your meter hits zero isn't as terrible as i thought. from what i understand, what it does is
>you can't use drive moves while in burnout
>you can get chip killed by specials on block while in burnout
>if you get wall bounced by drive impact in the corner while in burnout, you get stunned

the biggest downside here is losing access to your drive moves, but the others are very situational and thus not a very big deal in my opinion. overall it seems acceptable in my opinion.

People have every reason to be wary. With SFV being subpar, Capcom going woke, questionable mechanics, the weird looking art style, and some of these poorly designed characters... Frankly, I don't know who could be anything short of skeptical.

I think it looks interesting, I'm willing to try it, but if anything you're just being oddly positive. That's cool, glad you're excited, but there's definitely room for doubt.

Big factors for me are: how the parrying is going to work out. How good the netcode is going to be this time. V had the notorious "one sided rollback" where for one person it looked perfectly fine but for the other it was rolling back frames like crazy. And how hard is Capcom going to go with the microtransactions. Because I guarantee you there won't be free characters with Fight Money this time. Even if starting with season 2 or 3 you had to play something like a thousand matches to earn enough to get a free character.

“World Tour is a completely different mode that delivers a completely different experience than the traditional fighting,” he said. “Even if someone’s not a hardcore fan of fighting games, we wanted to incorporate things to make people become fans of Street Fighter outside of the traditional fights.”
“We want players to dive into this mode and be able to learn how to love fighting games through the things that you do during the journey of World Tour,” Nakayama proclaimed. “There will also be opportunities to meet some of the fans’ favorite characters, like Ryu and Chun-Li, through World Tour. We want to provide an experience where players can learn more about those characters’ backstories and discover what kind of people they are within Street Fighter 6.“

So in other words, it’s going to be like Jump Force, but better?

>Drank the SJW progressive kool-aid

Nothing wrong with holding past history as a frame of reference. Capcom's FG division has to show marked improvement if anyone is to be persuaded that they're better now.

All the stuff they've shown so far looks positive (anyone notice the "Team Battle" option in the video?), but I'm still waiting on seeing more hands-on gameplay beforehand.

MaxiliamDood is probably the most soyboy piece of shit streamer i've seen.
It's... horrible to watch.
It's not all bad.

He gave us Niggerdagger.

That leak was a while ago, they might have entertained going Woke, doesn't mean they didn't change their mind.

Point to me anything recent from Capcom that could be described as Woke? RE4VR was censored but that was thanks to Facebook.

You do realize them keeping Cammy's classic costume is proof they haven't fully drunk the Woke Kool-Aid? You do realize all this shit essentially started with people spazzing out over female game characters in the first place? Them allowing any fanservice at all is very unWoke, no major US dev would allow any of it.

You know what game also had cammy's classic costume? SFV

You know what game CENSORED Cammy in said costume? SFV

Cammy having her iconic costume in SF6 doesn't mean dick

It does mean something if you can at least still see her cheeks.
When you die and go to Hell you're going to go one of those ironic Hell's where demons in the form of Cammy will squat down, pull their butt-cheeks apart and shit the equivalent of sulfuric acid into your mouth and down your esophagus liquifying your insides in prolonged & excruciating agony. And you get to repeat this every day for all eternity.

While street fighter chode plays out in the background

According to this (ignore the YouTuber shilling)
Rollback Netcode and Crossplay (between PlayStation 5/4, Xbox Series X|S, & PC) have been confirmed for Street Fighter 6. Additionally, Capcom also clarified, "The rollback will not be the same as SFV"
"Not the same as SFV" could mean anything at this point, like "less shitty than SFV but not as good as other games that have done it better".

Imagine thinking the quality of this fighting game rests entirely on "BUT HOW MUCH CAN I COOM TO IT?"
