This combined with the /home/marcan is pretty conclusive lmao, almost definitely Marcan.
How bizarre.

It wouldn't be unusual for each user on a shared server to have their own homedir. I can totally believe Marcan is Lina, just saying the existence ofThe voices don't seem to match up to me, but yes, they are both using KDE configured with a thick window-tracking bar (whatever that thing is called) at the bottom with four virtual desktops, both using Katie as an editor with a similar layout, both using Zsh…
Oh, I just caught something very interesting. Both using Zsh configured similarly, and both working on a system called "raider." From Hector's April 1 stream:

From Lina's stream right now:

I can't think of a reason why the two would have the same system name unless either they're working on the same system, or Asahi uses that name as a default or something like that. Has Marcan shown any hints of trooning out previously?
EDIT: Looking elsewhere in the stream, looks like Lina's machine has a /home/marcan:

I now believe it's more likely that this is Marcan rather than Byuu, in which case WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING MARCAN I STOOD UP FOR YOU IN THESE THREADS
/home/marcan
by itself isn't very indicative of anything aside from them sharing the same system.~/asahi/git/m1n1

) is a little more sus, since it tends to be very idiosyncratic to each developer, and it's very unlikely two different people would choose the exact same directory structure for their local code unless they explicitly discussed and agreed on it beforehand. They might have done that to make it easier to browse each other's files, but it's a little unusual and kinda goes against the whole point of git. Part of git's value proposition is to allow devs to share code in a controlled way without having to navigate through other devs' files, so devs normally don't give a fuck how others structure their local workspace and wouldn't bother having a discussion to standardize the structure./home/marcan

I'm not sure what Lina is supposed to be doing in that screenshot swapping back and forth between those directories, do you have more context? Copying uncommitted working files from/home/marcan
to/home/lina
would be a pretty good indicator of them being the same person.
He has developed his own Live2D-like software called Inochi2D which both he and Asahi Lina are using for their streams. The charm on Lina's necklace is actually the Inochi2D logo, which is… odd. On earlier Lina streams, only her head moves, and not her hair or the rest of her body, indicating it was in an earlier state. Inochi2D is written in a programming language called D which nobody uses, but at least it's not something predictable like Rust I suppose.2000 DKK equals to less than 300us$, what am I missing here? He can afford commissions, a live2d model, garbage food, useless trinkets, yadda yadda - but not 300$ to get his genitals mutilated?
My screenshot is from the beginning of his stream on that day, starting right after the "Now loading" screen, or here. After blathering about his goals for the day, he runs a Python script while still under /home/marcan. Eventually he opens a new terminal and runs the same script, except that it's under the ~ for lina. Is /home/lina just a symlink for /home/marcan maybe?I'm not sure what Lina is supposed to be doing in that screenshot swapping back and forth between those directories, do you have more context? Doesn't that belong to a Linux VTuber? as there is a @LinaAsahi for it.With byuu being almost certainly still alive, it would be interesting to find out which persona he has taken on since. I don't think you would have to look far since he didn't have many friends. I believe it's likely he is working with Hector Martin on Asahi Linux. He might be @AsahiLina, a Twitter account that was created around the time he tried to erase his tracks.
It's not a NFS mount though. It is far too slow to compile code on a NFS mount.

/home/marcan
and /home/lina
, it's not unusual at all for the same python script to exist in the same place relative to the repo root, or to be able to run it from both places. It's basic anime character design. The dot is supposed to be the tip of her nose but since this is a vtuber model we don't get the perspective of a side-shot.Reducing the noses on the alter-ego cartoons to single nostril is a creepy touch.

Obviously, Hector is acting out his porn-addled idea of a woman - but does the idea that women might have normal features somehow offend him?

This isn't including all the boring retweets he does as well. He's shilling/simping for the Vtuber (most likely himself) hard.

it's really weird how he's soft-flirting with his v-tuber self on twitter. maybe the asahi linux troon squad is actually just his fetish harem? How embarrassing...

A normal dude wouldn't collaborate in an elaborate hoax to fake a suicide of a friend to frame a gossip website because they were autistic weirdoes.it's really weird how he's soft-flirting with his v-tuber self on twitter. maybe the asahi linux troon squad is actually just his fetish harem?
Don't worry, he's definitely dead on the insideJesus Christ now I wish Binder really was dead. The faggotry of these people, man.
OK I take it all back, RPing a ventriloquist act with his own vtuber persona while going "not me btwHow embarrassing...

Most normal Alpine Linux user.
He hates innocuous pop culture shit and he loves weird MMOs were you can be a furrySeems to hate Five Nights at Freddies and loves FF14, if that means anything.
I'm upgrading that "Sped" classification to "Potential Candidate for Bestiality."Talks the most like a degenerate with the nyan speak and casual retweeting of furshit. Obsessed with cats.
