Going back to my theory…is that the sound of cracking and peeling that I hear?? sourceCould the republicans, knowing that the proposals are likely to be non-ambitious, be towing this line for the sole purpose of de-fanging the DNC’s talking point that “tHey sTonEwAlL eVuRyTHinG!!” by saying this? Could they be wanting to create optics that they “care” about the issue to the voters? They could always just reject the bill at the 11th hour and say ‘welp we tried!’
Failing to get 10 GOP votes in the Senate was as predictable as Joe Biden yelling incoherently in front of a teleprompter because his oatmeal was lumpyGoing back to my theory…is that the sound of cracking and peeling that I hear?? source

Those red flag provisions are repugnant.

Maybe his advisors sat Cornyn down and reiterated that he’s gone if any bill passes. Cautiously optimistic, though I’m still bracing for the worst.
Could be an self awareness there that Democrats turned impeachment into something ordinary to do because you just dislike the current guy.I've noticed that some journos have been handwringing over the idea that the red wave will impeach biden. I have two thoughts about this trend
1. Its probably part kvetching over the idea that they're vulnerable, as well as more subtle encouragement of an idea by those who wish to remove biden despite being "on the same team"
2. People will probably be calling for the impeachment before midterms at this fucking rate because of shit like this
What does that even mean? In practical terms what would that do?
Apparently, it will allow abortions in restrictive states to be performed on federal property, such as military bases. What does that even mean? In practical terms what would that do?
Is this just old man yelling at clouds?
More to the point, how is that a "health emergency"?What does that even mean? In practical terms what would that do?

Ya, believe we'll see impeachment more often.Could be an self awareness there that Democrats turned impeachment into something ordinary to do because you just dislike the current guy.
They failed to convince Republicans that impeachment had anything to do with real crimes, so now it's something everyone can do in order to spend plenty time whining about whoever is president rather than do any legislation.
If that happens recruitment will decline even more and it'll also further the rift between civilian and military. When that fully erodes we'll be in big trouble.Apparently, it will allow abortions in restrictive states to be performed on federal property, such as military bases.
No "public health emergency" declared about the kids doomed to osteoporosis due to "transitioning" though. I reiterate, Brandon administration: go fuck yourselves.
Its how most tyrannies keep power. What does that even mean? In practical terms what would that do?

Not with the likes of fogey horse-traders like McConnell, neo-cons like Crenshaw, or feckless, wannabe nice-guys like Mitt Romney.I mean we could have a conservative golden age.
Would be odd since they're not supposed to use federal funds to pay for abortions due to the Hyde amendment. If they try figuring out a way to get around that amendment then they'd either deal with lawsuits to try blocking them or having some congressmen propose a bill to ban the spending which is a landmine most congressmen want to avoid at all costs. They could endanger a variety of seats by using the wrong executive order.Apparently, it will allow abortions in restrictive states to be performed on federal property, such as military bases.
Stephen Gutowski of the Reload is pretty good at staying abreast of gun law happenings.Going back to my theory…is that the sound of cracking and peeling that I hear?? source

Or perhaps this was the plan to begin with. Pretend to go along, but either back off because of a technicality or because the Left insisted on adding a poison pill. See...this is why I said awhile ago why this was pointless to even consider in the first place because in the end of the day the media is just going to pin a failure to come to a deal on those "evil gun nut Republicans" anyway.Going back to my theory…is that the sound of cracking and peeling that I hear?? source

The irony that liberals unironically turn the military into baby killers for realz.Apparently, it will allow abortions in restrictive states to be performed on federal property, such as military bases.
Or you know, the same thing happens there as it happens in disney - where the exemption status for military bases ends up being cancelled, who knew exploiting shit would mean people will make you stop?If that happens recruitment will decline even more and it'll also further the rift between civilian and military. When that fully erodes we'll be in big trouble.
Some of the ideas under consideration include declaring a national public health emergency, readying the Justice Department to fight any attempt by states to criminalize travel for the purpose of obtaining an abortion, and asserting that Food and Drug Administration regulations granting approval to abortion medications pre-empt any state bans, the officials said.
