I've noticed that some journos have been handwringing over the idea that the red wave will impeach biden. I have two thoughts about this trend
1. Its probably part kvetching over the idea that they're vulnerable, as well as more subtle encouragement of an idea by those who wish to remove biden despite being "on the same team"
2. People will probably be calling for the impeachment before midterms at this fucking rate because of shit like this

Could be an self awareness there that Democrats turned impeachment into something ordinary to do because you just dislike the current guy.

They failed to convince Republicans that impeachment had anything to do with real crimes, so now it's something everyone can do in order to spend plenty time whining about whoever is president rather than do any legislation.

Would be odd since they're not supposed to use federal funds to pay for abortions due to the Hyde amendment. If they try figuring out a way to get around that amendment then they'd either deal with lawsuits to try blocking them or having some congressmen propose a bill to ban the spending which is a landmine most congressmen want to avoid at all costs. They could endanger a variety of seats by using the wrong executive order.

Or perhaps this was the plan to begin with. Pretend to go along, but either back off because of a technicality or because the Left insisted on adding a poison pill. See...this is why I said awhile ago why this was pointless to even consider in the first place because in the end of the day the media is just going to pin a failure to come to a deal on those "evil gun nut Republicans" anyway.
