Wuhan Coronavirus / COVID-19 Thread 2: Booster Shot - Resume all Corona sperging here.

Ok I’ll admit I haven’t been reading these threads but this is disturbing. I had shingles earlier this year, I was vaxxed fall of last year (because what do you want to do, support your family or lose your job and potentially home?) and I got shingles in the spring. Never had Covid as far as I’m aware, haven’t even been sick.

So Stoltenberg and Bieber are two highly publicized cases of shingles in a very very short period of time. I’m sitting here making connections in my head. Fuck.

Shingles and cancer happens if your immune system has been ruined.

So, one locality in my country, Cebu, one of the other major urban areas in the Philippines, has recently decided to make masks optional. The national government has been sperging out ever since.

Hopefully the dominoes start falling in this country as well.

I've heard some subdivisions in some parts people have been going in and out without masks. Or are security guards just lax?

At this point, it feels like its running on sheer momentum. The number of unmasked walking around the street are up. For the most part no one cares.

Fuck it, even the police are walking around with their muzzles on their chins. We are a hot and humid country. No one but the nigger cattle that comprise r/philippines want these things.

Smart bunch. Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore have the same year-round hot and humid weather but most people are still unbelievably stupid and continue to wear their masks everywhere, even outdoors where it's no longer required.

Some people could forgive Malaysia and Indonesia since their outdoor mask mandates were only removed on May 1 and May 17, 2022 respectively. Singapore had their (outdoor mask mandate) removed on March 29, 2022. Yet 3 months later, 80-90% of locals continue to wear their masks outdoors. Double maskers and people exercising outside with a mask on are still as present as before (about 2-5% of people).

The good news is fewer people than ever care about enforcing the continued indoor mask mandate. Previously, the only businesses that didn't care about the mandates (and I'm not sure if they ever did in the past 2 years) have been hawker centers/street food sellers. They just want people's fucking business.

Only the Nazis hired and stationed at the entrances to enforce contact tracing check-in, and check and discriminate based on vaccination status (much to the detriment of businesses within malls and eateries) cared the most about mask wearing. Sidenote: I'm very surprised that said checkin/vaccine/mask enforcement was strict the entire time in Malaysia and Indonesia, since those 2 are usually known for being lax and culture of half-assing their jobs. Now those fuckers are gone.

There are more places than ever where you can walk in without a mask, order food or pay for a service, and have a 100% normal interaction. Sadly the employees are usually masked. But lately, there are also restaurants (ranging from low-end, no air conditioning to posh fine dining) where half or more of the wait staff are wearing their face diaper as a chin strap.

You can very much go anywhere now without a mask AT ALL (if you're paranoid, you can just wear it as a chin strap). Keeping in mind that you might need to wear your muzzle briefly in certain public locations like train stations or businesses that hire or are frequented by boomers/Karens (including schools). I guess the partial dropping of the mandate has enabled people to "forget" to wear their face muzzle and "not realize" they entered a shop, while that excuse wasn't possible when the "mask up indoors and outdoors as long as it's not your home" mandate was in place.

im much better after Day 3. But I'm still in on Day 5 because seems the last symptom left is fatigue. Does it go away after a while with the sickness or its a case I have to build back up over time? I just want to walk my dog, man.
Covid effects people differently. I the only time I was super tired or sick was last Monday/Tuesday. I'm almost normal now. Never lost smell/taste or got super tired. As of yesterday I'm still testing positive for Covid.

For me, fatigue was one of the first things to show up and one of the last things to go away. It did go away though. Eventually.

For me, it went something like this:
  • Day 1: WTF, do I have stomach flu? Why do I keep visiting the toilet?
  • Day 2: Oh shit, it's COVID.
  • Day 3: 101F Fever, body aches, lethargy.
  • Day 4: 102F Fever, body aches, lethargy.
  • Day 5: Body aches and lethargy, slight cough and runny nose, tingling extremities, racing heart.
  • Day 6: Oh thank god, I feel like getting out of bed again. Wait, WTF, stomach rash?
  • Day 7: Why does everything with vinegar in it smell like ammonia?
  • Day 8-15: I hope I get my smell and taste back.
  • Five Months Later: Oh thank god, cheese has finally stopped tasting like chemicals.
The biggest thing I experienced was zero energy. You will feel tired as fuck and want to sleep it off. You will basically lose 3 to 7 days to just sleeping. It was dog shit, but aside from the losing-my-smell-and-taste thing, it wasn't that bad. I had a worse cold in December.

Don't know if I had the wuflu or not, but I got a headache and felt lethargic on the 23rd of April. Woke up next morning to a splitting headache and high fever (thermometer was beeping and flashing at 99.99F). Oddly enough, both lasted only a day but I still was a bit lightheaded and my sense of taste and smells were definitely gone (worked at a place which has a food court,) so it was definitely COVID.
no further consequences as far as i know, with the exception of coughs

You did not get shingles. You had the virus already present in your body from chicken pox and your now fucked immune system could not keep it in check and you had an outbreak of it.

Many of us made this choice and chose better than you so can it with the hurrrdurrr muh fambly moral fagging. If you have life insurance to protect them and you die it won't cover you on a vaccine related death. Hope it was worth it

It was worth it. Want to know why? I care about my children. I put that shit in my body so they don’t have to grow up in fucking hotel rooms and back seats like I did.

I’m not happy about it, I never was but I’m in the industry I always wanted to be in and in get paid well for it. If I shaved 20 years off my life so my kids don’t have to experience the hardship I did so be it.

I don’t need shingles explained to me either, I’m not a mouth breathing retard.

20 years less? AIDS kills in three years. Having a weak immune system is no joke. Cancer, Tuberculosis, pneumonia, Meningitis etc. Tick tock.

That's a step in the right direction, seems like ate Gwen is kind of based. Anyways, still waiting for the "no unvaxxed foreign nationals" rule to be lifted like they did in Vietnam

A man in British Columbia was paralyzed after taking the AstraZeneca vaccine, and earlier this month he received compensation. What's more shocking is the media has actually been reporting on it. It's said the man has chosen not to disclose the amount he's received, which is understandable. The maximum anyone can legally receive in lump-sum damages for a vaccine injury in Canada is $380,000, but damages for income replacement due to vaccine injuries is unlimited.
