While there is a fair argument in saying that women do not wear makeup for themselves even if they think they are, this dude just wants her to not wear makeup for his ego. He can't have her looking  too pretty and showing how weak of a facsimile he is.

A lot of times women wear makeup for other women. Not to attract them but to be better than the other women, by being more attractive than they are. Same with dressing cute and paying attention to fashion. You ask almost any guy and they don't even really notice anything more than basics about what their girlfriend wears or looks like with a full face, especially the natural looks. Like they'll notice she's wearing a dress, but the details are not important. The girl can tell you details about other girls at the same place y'all were days later.

It's female socialized competition. Some of it is for men, but not all of it by far. Some women even admit to doing this, I know I will.

Trannies wear makeup because women wear makeup. But because they don't understand that it's a competitive behavior among other women they don't try to get good at it. An adult women who can only do makeup the way these guys do it typically won't bother with it, because we know we can't compete this way and it's a lot of upkeep and hassle.

it's the trannies themselves. Most people are fine with the flamboyant HSTS types, but almost every time someone is confronted with a greasy aggressive AGP type people have to explain it away as "not real trans" (whatever that means). As they continue to push themselves into spaces where they shouldn't be (because lol narcissistic traits), more people will start experience that cognitive dissonance and eventually it'll be too many cases to explain away as "not real trans" - or rather they'll at the very least be forced to try and define what that is.

They're dismantling their own movement by literally existing. It's quite interesting to see, especially as you see media trying to promote HSTS or harmless Aidens types (see: Saved by the Bell reboot or any other type of media that features "trans" characters).

I think that used to be the case with HSTS (and for the older ones it still is) but the younger ones are almost as bad and fetishy. They don't dress like normal women- they dress as an extremely bimbofied Bratz doll version of a woman. If you look at their twitter circles, they get exited at the thought of luring straight drunk frat bros at bars and deceiving them into sleeping with them (even Blaire White made a vid condemning this).

It's even worse when they say they're "trans femme", as if they're open about thinking being a woman is something put on and based on stereotypical looks and personality traits. Yet they'll call TERFs transphobic for calling this out as "womanface"

You know the way people post pictures of Jim Sterling and say "He's the most stereotypical British man I've ever seen", well, this is that for Ireland. I can actually hear his voice and specific regional accent in my head already.

There’s this tranny in my graduate program who is from (Southern US city). I go to school in (liberal Northern city where people mind their business). I’ll add, as a woman that rarely wears makeup, that in most western adult society (businesses, doctors offices, etc) it’s a sign of having your shit together. Not so much that no makeup means you don’t, but a well-put-together outfit that flatters and fits combined with subtle makeup applied correctly says “this chick is an adult and likely knows what she’s talking about.” I don’t wear it daily or even when on a date with the wife every time, but to visit a psychiatrist, look at a property we would like to consider, or when networking for a job, I’ll throw on some concealer and a little color on the eyes and cheeks. Not an evening palette, ever, no glitter, but something that says “I had the time and mental capacity to put thought and effort into my presentation today.”
