video introduced me to the essay
The Basic Laws of Human Stupidity (
archive) written by Carlo M. Cipolla, an Italian author and economic historian. It's a stellar read. His second law states that anyone can be placed anywhere regardless of race, class, education, sex, etc. You can just happen to be born stupid. His third law states that you can place everyone into four categories based on if their actions benefit them and if their actions benefit society. A categorization has to consider the person's average actions in their normal state so one off instances of stupidity or intelligence and a change of demeanor due to mental illness don't count.
- Intelligent People - Actions benefit themselves and others/society
- Helpless/Naive People - Actions benefit others/society but not themselves
- Thieves - Actions benefit themselves but not others/society
- Stupid People - Actions do not benefit themselves and others.
(In my opinion actions that don't strictly benefit or inhibit the self or society - net neutral actions - are usually defaulted to the do not benefit side because that person wasted their time on the progress of that axis)
I mention this because most trannies, specifically those who get the chop, fall squarely into the Stupid People category. Some like Lia Thomas and Rhys McKinnon fall into the Thieves category but the Thieves we really care about are the SRS surgeons. One could argue that most trannies are Helpless because they all fall to the scam of HRT and SRS that the medical establishment offers, but I think that this is a one off action that benefits a minority and hurts the majority as mentally unwell men with hormones imbalances and constant pain in their groins mucking about is a net negative to society.
It's easy for a Stupid and Helpless person to be taken advantage of by Thief since they usually do not take actions that benefit themselves. In the worst case, a small group of Thieves can manipulate a large group of Stupids or Helpless to benefit the Thieves and directly or indirectly hurt society. Since we all live together on this planet, those who care about society should put in safeguards to discourage the Thieves via punishments, protect the occasional Helpless, and manage the Stupids from fucking things up. There's no use punishing the Stupids because since their overall actions do not better themselves, they are probably not learning from their own actions so they for sure won't learn from the punishment. The best we can do for them is make sure too many of them have power and herd them away from Thieves. And in that case occasionally a Stupid will fall victim.
On the other hand, the Thieves
know what they're doing as they are acting in a way to better themselves. Just because they are not Intelligent People does not mean they are not intelligent. Thieving SRS surgeons know that it's not a real vagina but they say it because that's what the Stupid/Helpless Troons want to hear and they know that the troons will parrot it to others that may be future patients.
