Inactive Byuu / byuu_nyan / setsunakun0 / Near / David Ginder - "Non-binary" furry programmer who wrote a Super Nintendo emulator, tried to blackmail Null into removing his thread, and is probably actually dead lol

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
This weirdo he's talking to looks very familiar. Isn't this one of the tech troons who DDoSed the Farms in the past? Something like that?
That's Kaniini, former Pleroma dev who had a meltdown after KFcc launch, trying to deplatform it, and also loudly left the team somewhere in 2020, sending a pullrequest to make Mastodon stop federating with any Pleroma servers.

I'm upgrading that "Sped" classification to "Potential Candidate for Bestiality."

Normally, I'd just live and let live with weird people who do weird shit, but I've seen enough people who innocuously wear weird cartoon animal suits and talk about how much they love (enter animal name.) Too many of them eventually end up fucking the family dog. It happens far too often to ignore, so I tag every furry with "Potential dogfucker" labels just to be safe and I've never been wrong before.
I've met a few who are, or at least seem to be okay during my time(This shit has become so mainstream it's impossible to find a community on the internet that DOESN'T have a few, hell even sites that should be downright POISON to them like kiwi have their fair share.), but it's definitely the exception and not the rule. Certainly anyone fucked up enough to have or be featured in a page here is going to be some sort of sexual deviant, if not dog fucker than paedophile.

Yea this "Ariadne" troon has popped up a few times. Was basically a skript kiddie who looked up a couple things about the Farms' infrastructure and posted about it on twatter as if it would do anything. Oh noes guys a "woman" has discovered Null uses an alternative brand of router!

MATI time but this manic episode is absolutely unprofessional and brings questions about marcan’s ability to write secure, reliable software. Anyone who thought he was a good programmer before needs to delete his account because his judgement of someone’s worth is not only entirely useless but also harmful (forgot your fucking usernames, dumbshits).

I hope Linus Torvalds rips this guy’s ass a new one if/when he tries to push upstream because rejecting code from liars is not only a good practice, it’s also an ethical obligation of software engineers.

Just some general background since the information is scattered all over this thread (or absent):

Hector Martin (aka Marcan) is a notable hacker and programmer, enough to have his own wiki page. Nowadays he mainly works on developing Asahi Linux, but he used to do a lot of hacking and reverse-engineering of videogame consoles.

[Old photo from this article]
  • He's from Madrid, Spain but has been living in Japan for around 10 years apparently.
    • He and Byuu both living in Tokyo as Western expats and with similar skill-sets & interests makes me think they're close personal friends...
  • He used to work for Pixiv. Not sure what company he works at now, but he's still in Japan. I think he's just a part-time freelancer/consultant at this point since he's putting so much effort into Asahi Linux.
    • Pixiv proof: [1] [2]
    • Asahi Linux crowdfunding: [1] [2]
  • He's a huge weeb who collects anime girl figures.
  • He's a long-time Redditor, where he mainly talks about Linux and weeb stuff. Notice also how he tried to push that USA Today article on Byuu's "suicide".

  • Someone else will have to fill in from here since I don't remember the timeline of events, but Hector (aka Marcan) was basically the main guy who helped Byuu fake his suicide and blame it on the Farms.

Basically, after Byuu melted down on Twitter, Hector Marcan released a Google doc that he said was written by some anonymous individual who was Byuu's friend (to this day, it's never been revealed who exactly it is and it's probably just Hector making shit up). The doc is, for lack of a better term, a huge shitpost where it was claimed Marcan's/Byuu's friend sat on a call with Byuu for like an hour while Byuu roped himself and played that shitty French song and the friend didn't call the police or anything. After that, people started calling Hector out on his shit, and at this point Hector fibbed a couple lies about how he personally got to meet with the police detective (even though he's not blood related to Byuu and Japan is a notoriously privacy-heavy culture) and changed his story a couple times (at first it was him calling the police on the phone, then he changed it to actually meeting the police in person). To this day (other than some retard named Wayne Beckett who isn't trustworthy) there has never been a single piece of evidence to corroborate Hector's ("friend's") doc at all, which is highly suspicious and indicative of it being complete bullshit.

Anyways, look at this shit:

The video's nothing to write home about, it's just him bouncing back and forth like a sped while some shitty background music plays.

I will not be deleting my account, but yes, this incident is causing me to re-evaluate my take on him. I still think he is clearly a skilled and talented programmer, but whereas the Byuuicide cover-up could have just been going too far in trying to help a friend, this is clear batshittery. This guy's nuts.

But sometimes crazy people write decent software. I won't go so far as to compare him to Saint Terry, but there's some faint parallels.

Some retard claiming to be Wayne Beckett - but non-verifiable, and making assertions that were never credible.
Good point, but it's not as if the Wayne Beckett in the USA Today article is any more credible. As far as I recall the "company" he worked at (which apparently employed Byuu) seems to be either made-up or a shell company for some other (as yet unknown) company. Plus there's not really any record of Wayne Beckett online. Also, Hector at one point said "you guys even saw a picture of the urn, why do you still not believe me" so he more or less agreed that the Wayne Beckett on the forum is the same as the Wayne Beckett in the article. Does anyone know why exactly Null verified the Wayne Beckett account?

GAMERS RISE UP :semperfidelis:
Byuu has lost for the 2nd time. He is one of the couple of few people hear who I do not feel bad at all whether they do actually kill themselves or not. Lied about virtually everything only because of the fact that he didn't get his way, and lied about suicide no less.

Never forget how Hector Martin (aka Marcan) originally responded to the State Department's overseas death report:

He was convinced that the updated report would show Byuu's death, but that Kiwifarmers wouldn't accept it (and instead try to claim it was some other American that died). But nope, sorry Hector. Still no American deaths in Japan around when Byuu was alleged to have killed himself.

It's part of this longer, cope-filled twitter thread:

I'm sure he'll either (1) ignore the updated report or (2) change his story and say the report is inaccurate & never mattered in the first place.
