Yea it's not even in the top 5 hardest living languages in the world iirc, but it also depends on where you come from for English. If you come from a root language like French, Italian, German, etc (germanic languages) its easier to learn English than say, coming to English from a pictoral and tonal language like Mandarin, because you have to learn an entirely new concept of how to communicate. It's like how Japanese is (iirc) the 2nd or 3rd hardest language to learn internationally, however coming to Japanese from Mandarin is fairly easy because Japanese has taken a lot from Mandarin.
