This is one of the most pressing questions concerning Chris. I am unsure if he needs to be heavily medicated or not, but one thing that has to happen is that Chris needs to be reconditioned back into reality. The man has been so disconnected from what the world is really like, that he needs professional help. While I don't trust many therapists and psychologists as far as I can throw them, Chris is in such a desperate state that he will need heavy psychological examination and rehabilitation. He should face justice for what he's done (assuming he actually did assault his mother), but I believe that justice should serve to end his delusions and not send him to prison to rot and lead to the worsening of his condition.
The happy end I hope for, though unlikely, is rather meta. When we ask questions like "why is Chris so out of it? What drove him to be the way that he is?", we're ironically asking these questions via the very thing that led to the worsening of his ego and mental state: that being the internet. You see, for all the years we've poked fun at and laughed at Chris' antics, the man functionally got worse because he was so well documented. And it's largely his own fault for this as well.
Every year Chris has spent online has been another year where his ego grows. It's another year wherein his delusions of grandeur are bloated because everyone's talking about him and his comic. It's another year where Chris, being incredibly gullible and childlike, goes into the hands of people who want to use him for their own gains because he believes them to be his friends, while condemning those who want to help him as being another troll.
So, in a rather roundabout way, the only way to truly help Chris is to end Christory. Not by killing him or him dying or anything like that (heavens no!). Rather, Chris needs to do the one thing we never believed he could do, and maybe he even doubts himself to be able to do, and that is to grow up and leave the internet. Whether that actions requires the assistance of professionals or not, I can't say. But I can say this: Chris won't do that until he lets go of his pride.
The reason why I started looking at Chris was to poke fun at him like everyone else. Now, after writing to him several times, I have stayed for a different reason. I think Chris is like a living metaphor for us in the internet age. I believe that if Chris leaves the internet, and truly repents for what he's done wrong, I don't think a more beautiful story could be created. Hardly anyone has fallen as hard as Chris. But if he can somehow find his way out of the hole, what does that say about the rest of us? Will he die like Icarus because of his pride, or become like St. Peter and find redemption?
Those are just some thoughts I have on the matter. You're free to disagree, which is totally understandable.
I would take it a step further and simply cut Chris off from greater society as a whole. Take him to some nice little vacation house that has absolutely no connection to the internet, cable, or anything that would feed him pop culture. Including the Bible if at all possible since I remain convinced that in the absence of most actual pop culture he latched onto the bible.
Reason being that Chris lives in his fantasy world as much as possible but he's also got no imagination. Everything that's ever been in the Sonichu 'canon' has been based on things he's read, seen, heard, or experienced firsthand, then twisted to serve his own ends,
with the sole exception of being forced to kill Simonla because of that whole idiotic shitshow.
Of course, when he killed Simonla and thus violated his own internal autist logic about CWCville and its denizens being real things, with the added complications he couldn't simply undo the death without also compromising the deaths of troll effigies he really
did want to stay dead in the CWCville canon. The CWCki has a good section summarizing why something as dumb as this character's death caused such a crisis:
As the article states, because he'd lost control over his own imaginary domain - by opening the gates himself when he stole the idea that became Simonla - that was when the initial Sonichu comics stopped. He did
eventually come back by of course retconning everybody's deaths though bullshit that doesn't matter, but the weakness is still there: if Chris can not feed the narrative on his own terms, then he lets the narrative die.
This is in part why he was so mad over G5 MLP. I don't think it could be understated what an influence G4 Pony was, more in the brony subculture it created, since Chris valued going to the conventions where people didn't really give a shit about him being, well,
Chris. Night Star, the whole attachment to the DJ character, etc. etc. he'd really put himself into it, and then here comes along the next series which rather hilariously straight up starts with the premise of "yeah, all the ponies forgot about what happened and a thousand years later the ponies are all racist to each other again". Might as well have detonated a nuke in Chris's face. Everything he liked was so heavily invested in
specifically a single iteration of a toy selling franchise and he was losing his shit because reality was moving on whether he liked it or not. The narrative was threatened and Chris
had to stop it somehow. Not that any of it would have worked and we know Chris is probably going to like G5 once he's out of prison and inevitably watches it, but the point stands.
To that end, Chris has to learn he can't run from reality, and the only way this can happen is if CWCville is destroyed. And to do that, the beast must be starved. Isolate Chris from anything he could use to keep his escapist fantasy going and he would have to inevitably rely on means other than his stupid electric hedgehogs and ponies to cope.
Kind of like a super long term sensory deprivation chamber except Chris wouldn't last a minute in one of those without instantly bawling his eyes out because autism.
That's all just my theory of how Chris could ultimately finish his life story by being
marginally less of an idiot - it doesn't solve any of his problems in terms of character, but at the very least he'd stop pretending to be god.
