Crossover Ethan Ralph v. TCR Ghost

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Yeah. It's all just piling up and reactions to donos. In due fairness, some of the videos have been quite hilarious/bizarre in the past. I can agree with you about the consistency part as that's what matters. Still, 8+ hours feels like a fucking stress test at times.
Yeah. That's one reason I was actually happy about him bringing back TCR as a podcast (RIP again). He could do his political/financial bits without donos piling up, and separately do troll shows/react streams.

But you're right about 8+ hours being rough. Most of the time I just can't watch for 8 hours straight. Got stuff to do lol. But I've fallen asleep watching his stream and woke up 8 hours later and he was still streaming. It's a bit crazy. So I watch the stream in bits and pieces across the week, so it's about the same for me either way lol. But yeah the consistency is the biggest issue.

Well I wouldn't even mind the 8+ hour streams because I could watch those in small doses for any of the days he isn't streaming. The trouble with that is that the archives are so fucking messed up/out of order/hard to find at times. That's another inconsistency and Vaughn doesn't keep those VODs for very long, I believe. Couple this with the fact that InsaneEnergy and Jackler quit archiving, the older stuff can be irritating because of broken links, someone was flagged or they DFE. GX Historian/GX Archives (I know that faggot has a different name but it's escaping me right now) and Steven Stinkyverse are pretty good about TGS archives. I can understand why Steven cuts them down and edits only the good parts (typically just RG) and having to bleep a lot but my problem is that these people can get spooked very easily and delete their archives/channels without any sort of forewarning. It's frustrating.

Wait really? I've never had an issue with Vaughn's archives, and they're in order from newest to oldest + go back like 6 months. The only downside is that it takes a little while for the stream to archive if it's brand new.

I def agree about it being frustrating when searching for older stuff. The old archive.org page was probably the best, but sadly that stopped being updated around TGS 270.
Also I'm not sure why they're so easily spooked. I think the GX people probably imploded because they made the mistake of making a discord lol. That seems like a fast road to starting drama and shit

The primary thing with Vaughn and going back (I stopped paying attention to TGS quite a bit since the beginning of this year) is that 6 month cut-off limit, the fact the shows are poorly labeled and there's also in the past the issue where he was hopping around platforms so occasionally he would stream on DLive (which didn't last long), then Vaughn which had bandwidth issues half of the time, then the next time it would be on Periscope, then back to Vaughn, yada yada. That kind of shit. Having to chase down where he was could be a real pain, especially for someone like me who doesn't have any direct contact with these crazy fuckers who donate and stalk him hard. These are just minor complaints. That and for the longest time Vaughn was not mobile friendly. It's still in Beta, which is usable admittedly, but I don't know how much work Mark has put into it or if he's even still actively developing it. The platform stability has become a bit better with Ghost anchoring himself to Vaughn. For the longest time, especially when he first started streaming there, this wasn't the case.

TL;DR His unpredictability makes it hard to play catch up, even moreso if you aren't terribly invested financially, parasocially or timewise when it comes to listening to Ghost's content. It's moving at a bit of a snail's pace but things are improving all things considered.

Yeah that seems really minor compared to any number of people on this site who have done way worse shit, and don't get the rabid haters and trolls.

Cansabuser, that's it! Thank you, that was bothering me for a moment. Yeah, I know about what kind of gayops he's pulled. Personally I don't get it or why Jackler of all people donated basically a high end PC to Ghost so he could stream playing vidya. How did that work out anyway? I think he did play some matches with people from his IC/Thunderdome, right? Forget which game ATM but he lost and was trashtalking some people on his show. Now all Jackler does is play Fortnite and InsaneEnergy still restreams Tony, but it never feels quite the same. Interesting how things turn out.

The hambone has played Fortnite and some other shooter I can't remember the name of. He sucked at them and started trash talking people and saying that they were aim botting of all things.

Ahh. I see. Yeah that was a pretty shitty timeframe. I always just checked his site, since he's always change his stream link/sometimes write update posts.
As for the labeling, Idk. The shows are labeled whatever Ghost titled them lol. It's not too hard to use the miraheze site to figure out which episode is which. But you're right, it's not straightforward like say... a youtube playlist might be. It takes effort, which probably does prune a lot of the potential audience away.

On the other hand though, things are much better now. Vaughn might only archive his shows for 6 months, but that's better than most other alt streaming platforms.
Back in the day Vaughn totally sucked. I couldn't even watch it. It would just buffer for infinity, so I'd watch restreams. But Mark has really worked on improving the site. Credit where it's due and all that.

But you're right. Playing catchup over a long period like that is difficult at best. But if you're a current listener who tunes in to the latest shows? I really feel like it's the easiest it's been in a year or two. No more platform hopping, the site works well, etc. Now Ghost is the problem, what with his no-shows.

But if you really are interested in some older episodes like that? I'd suggest you check out the TCR Wiki. It has every episode listed, along with small tidbits of info. A lot of it is copy/pasted but sometimes it can be helpful in finding archival links if they exist. It shows all his shows charted out by date, etc. It's helpful for searching old content.

Miraheze has been been pretty helpful. I do miss Ghost's own forums for the brief time that lasted. Boomer trolls fucked that into the dirt pretty quickly lol.

Ghost shut the forums down because it turned into a bunch of in fighting between the spastic retards of the ghost community dropping doxxes on each other. Shit was laughable to watch but thats what happens when some people take shit a little to seriously in the Ghost community.

I have to give Ghost credit, he realized that just laying around, clipping his nails, learning to play the banjo, and watching reruns of COPS on Pluto TV is more fulfilling than giving a moment of thought to the Gunt.

God have mercy on our souls....

At this point in the “troll war” is it fair to say that Ghost will shit his pants and do nothing?
Yeah. Most of the more malicious trolling in Ghost's sphere of influence is targetted at fellow cliques of listeners as they fight for their surrogate, internet Dad's attention. Plus, with Ghost seemingly unable to keep up for more than a show a week, it's hard to see how momentum for a consistent trolling campaign can continue.

Safe to say, it's one big nothingburger.

I am much more a guy like Ghost who has his moments of fun poking the gunt and then take his leave when he's bored than somebody like Vickers or Flamenco, who obssessively try to make bank a-logging Ralph but end up airing their dirty laundry and make themselves into lolcows in the process.

Hey, that's awesome. How do you feel about double dipping?
