The vastly different body plans between Kivouachians would make producing successful offspring nearly impossible if we're to stick with the idea that their reproduction relies on genetic material being passed along. You'd get malformed (as in, more malformed than most of these characters already are) freaks who likely couldn't survive without intensive care because one parent's genetic code replaced their nostrils with arms or something. I know Kivs aren't mammals or any other sort of earthly creature, but the fact they have genes and fully formed bodies implies the existence of Hox genes, which ought not be scrambled about by breeding two vastly different body plans.

It's hard to take it serious if you care at all about science. It's literally not that hard to do research on how creatures evolve and function- even if a site is paywalled, there's ways to get around them.

Ok, so to unpack this:

8sec - Static animation which cuts this animation down to 38 seconds long.
I'm hoping he at least compromised his rate to produce this. We won't ever know this though unless the purchaser tells us.

This is the character it's based off of and we can see Sam does not do due diligence when it comes to commissioning pieces.

- The ribcage is noted to be exposed. Sam's animation makes it looks like a chest plate. He has the ability to model/purchase rib assets to accomodate this feature, whereas this is a limitation by the OG artist perhaps not being able to draw an anatomically correct ribcage but you can see the spirit of it in the picture.

- No gold claws. Lazy oversight on Sam

- The tail is a rat tail rather than a fluffy long dog(?) tail. I'm not sure why this change was made, especially knowing Helgan is one of his characters. Was he lazy, or just didn't know how to stop fur clipping into the floor? If it's the 2nd, don't take the commission!


- The mouth syncing stops at points. You'd think by all these years now Sam would know ways to proper sync mouths

- Skirt is constantly clipping, but it looks like Sam modelled the skirt himself. Good for him if that's the case. Too bad the design isn't tattered like the drawing provided...

- Someone more skilled in 3D animation might be able to give more insight to this, but I don't understand why the feet look like their on moonshoes. I get that he's probably modelled pads to the feet, but it's really bizarre

Anyway, just my take away. I can only hope he gave the model to the buyer.

Either it's the same person, or someone made their OC strikingly similar to an early fan's Kiv OC.

The wings aren't usually there.
GrapefulJester had this bizarre and playful OC that had a purple body, yellow bands, feet pads and spiral like eyes. But it was more lizard-like and had more head hair.
I'm wondering if a bit more lighting and clipping care went into because it was an old fan, or someone pretending to be the old fan. (It's not the same person)

I'm not entirely sure what he's being pissy about to be honest with you. Having slogged through the whole 133 pages because I hate myself, nothing has really changed.
