Wendigoon is nerding out over the second half of Mandela Catalogue, if anyone cares.

No, GodlyRecon was most likely made by NationSquid. It's important to note that NationSquid had a ARG going on via his website and in the end of his videos there would be some codes and puzzles that would link to unlisted videos. Also GodlyRecon wasn't mentioned anywhere else until NationSquid talked about it in a top 10 video. Although I wouldn't rule out ST having some involvement after all he was one of the first people to debunk it.I noticed when ST brought his videos back there were some that counted as new uploads. Some were about GodlyRecon and another one was congratulating people for solving his ARG. I guess he was behind GodlyRecon then?
Found this pic on twitter of what I mean:

Was starting to give off semi NightMind vibes when he's talking about the hooded intruder's origin

Nah, to pull off a NightMind he would need to insert himself into the series and try to take control of it, before ruining a podcast by appearing when he wasn't meant to (banned for being a shill for CreepTV), lmao. Was starting to give off semi NightMind vibes when he's talking about the hooded intruder's origin
JCS and Matt Orchard are the only ones who got it right, they subsidize the case summery with actual analysis and explanation. The rest literally just read the case details, show interrogation/court footage with 0 commentary, then close the video with "my personal opinion: killer bad. Donate to my patreon!" dreading and Dave's Lemonade are some of the worst offenders of this trend. I can appreciate the compilation of all the information into one concise video but that's as far as their effort goes.JCS was the only good one.
I liked MC at first but the more I followed it the more it got on my nerves. Honestly I think the main reason I even thought it was good to begin with was just a result of Wendigoon's enthusiasm rubbing off on me lol

I haven't watched enough of it on my own to really gauge it, and on top of that I feel like I am probably no longer in the right mind frame to really judge it either.I liked MC at first but the more I followed it the more it got on my nerves. It's one of those things that are creepy on first viewing but the more flaws you notice/have pointed out for you, the shittier it gets. 99% of these ARGs would be a million times better if they just learned when to fucking stop. With MC it's especially true because again, after that initial first spook the faces are no longer scary and no amount of world building attempts can salvage it.I haven't watched enough of it on my own to really gauge it, and on top of that I feel like I am probably no longer in the right mind frame to really judge it either.
I'm 32 and still stuck in 2009-2012 when it comes to this shit, so anybody getting content out quicker than six months to a year per video already gets an "alright" from me. I find the idea behind it creepy enough with humanity being tricked through Chirst/Christianity. The execution is a bit meh though, but that's where my age might be a factor. I can see how distorted faces showing up on TV screens and shit is creepy, but it just really doesn't do much for me. At the same time, it seems like there has been a very quick jump in skill/quality throughout this series based on the (2nd to?) last video Wendigoon shown so that seems worth praising.
I'd say I still find it interesting enough, but hearing actual fans talk about how pants shittingly horrifying it is and stuff kind of turned me off but I think I'm at that age where that happens with most shit.
>blue eyesSame guy that made that video about Tuv made a video about Wendigoon. It's pretty good and I learned a few things about him that I didn't know, like how he started as a GunTuber. (I'd honestly like to see his gun tier list out of pure curiosity.) It also does a good job at explaining why and how he became so popular so quickly.
Dark Somnium videos are pretty good imo, there is a lot of effort in production with getting cast to voice different characters, sound effects and the music he produces as BGM.First and probably last time I'll comment on this thread. What are some genuinely good Creepypasta/horror story narrators that don't just schlock out nosleep reddit shit, D tier """true""" stories, or the even worse subscribed stories?
All the big narrators are bad people or just make bad content. Let's Read passing off some awful stories as true, Mrcreepypasta being a scam artist, cheater, and someone who tried to screw over authors and pulling a Fine Bros. Creepsmcpasta and CreepypastaJr sexting minors or sending them gore and then getting caught lying about it.
It's really hard to find something worth listening to.
Agreed, I found Nexpo years ago after Night Mind ruined a podcast I enjoyed & an ARG. Same thing with Mamamax-I found him trying to find someone covering the Sad Satan incident.I appreciate the effort Nexpo puts into his videos. I found him while mining for deposits of inspiration for my writing, and took a shining most especially to his Disturbing Things From Around The Internet series.
Unfortunately, I'm also a massive autist in regards to storytelling and narration, and I find his over-editing and over-reliance on certain techniques intended to elicit emotion to be insufferable.
Wendigoon is boring as fuck to listen to but his iceberg vids are pretty comprehensive. Plagued Moth is just a faggot.
I like Lighthouse Horror. A good mature voice that doesn't get too monotonous and he doesn't overact like some other readers insist on doing, it reminds me of some of my better professors back in Uni. I have no idea if the stories he picks are from nosleep or other bottom-of-the-barrel places, but at this point it's inescapable. It's really hard to find something worth listening to.
