World Economic Forum Megathread (The Great Reset)

The reason why people like Elon Musk keep saying "omg we've got to merge with AI before we become obsolete" is because they've all read Nick Bostrom's Superintelligence.

Bostrom's a catastrophist poseur like Eliezer Yudkowsky, with a background primarily in philosophy, not computer science. He's been milking writing sci fi horror stories thinly disguised as actual AI ethics papers for decades, and attaches himself like a grifting leech to serious AI discussions, especially ones heavy on bureaucrats and businessmen. Basically, he's Bill Nye for billionares and nerds -- or a negaverse Ray Kurzweil, but without the actual (decades ago) accomplishments in engineering.

Tyranny wants the "little people" living in pods as bug-eating cybernetic renter serfs, who live on a diet of science lab chemicals.

But how many tyrants would live that way?

Us and Them - YouTube | (BitChute mirror)

They're joined at the hip with us. They need us to consume and make them money. That's why they created the take-make-waste model of the economy; to ensure a constant revenue stream at the expense of the planet.

It's why companies like Apple strive to keep their devices from being repairable. They don't want you to hand down your iPhone 11 to another family member after putting a new battery in it. They want you all to line up at the Verizon store and buy a brand-new iPhone 13 and toss the iPhone 11 in the trash.

Every year, mining companies excavate billions and billions of tons of ore.

Every year, people pay billions of dollars to Silicon Valley R&D companies, so those companies can secure contracts with suppliers in China that hire teenage girls to work sixteen hours a day for pennies on the dollar on an assembly line, making our tech gadgets while passing out from exhaustion over a moving conveyor belt and/or being felt up by the foreman.

Then, those goods are stuffed into shipping containers and placed on giant container ships burning literally hundreds of millions of tons of bunker fuel, before being trucked from the port to your local Best Buy, so our 300-pound American asses can deepthroat a fucking waffle cone in our left hand while fondling a $1000 iMasturbator in our right. Then, a year or two later, we throw that shit away and buy another. This is the business model. This is how tech companies and their executives and shareholders make their money.

Then, these greedy motherfuckers all fly to Davos on their private jets so they can congratulate each other and jerk each other off for another year of successfully raping the planet with their constellation of mines and sweatshops, and plotting together on how to shove "environmental responsibility" off onto the lower classes.

And now, as the final insult, after looting the planet for decades, these sons of bitches want to own every last scrap of property, all the farmland, everything, so nobody has any assets that generate wealth independently from the predatory, sociopathic Overclass. After seizing all our property and engaging in degrowth and depopulation, these rentier-class parasite thugs want free men and women to become serfs, owning no property, living in pod hotels and eating bugs, renting every single thing we use, and obediently creating wealth for our employers. The rich don't plan on having their living standards decline one bit. They're not giving up their yachts, or their mansions, or their T-bone steaks. No. They want to have everything. They want it all.

How are people not furious?

Too many have been conditioned to think the world isn't a dystopia - and that it's a "conspiracy theory" or "cringe" to disagree?
That's for neolibs, conservatives just tell you to fuck off to a different country, or you won the lottery by being born in America, or you should stop trying to regulate these people and let the free market reject their ideas. It takes two groups of retards to achieve this state of society.

They've been "socially engineered" to think the world isn't a dystopia and it's a "conspiracy theory" or "cringe" to think otherwise?

Also I take it this consumerist disposable renter economy is not sustainable in the long run?
The overclass have only one thing in mind; maintaining GDP growth and the velocity of money in the markets. That's it. Their interests begin and end there. If they believe that we're running out of natural resources to sustain the old model, they will literally make everyone share the communal Rug Doctor instead of buying their own carpet cleaners, or hire the communal robo-taxi instead of owning their own cars.

What Klaus Schwab's "Fourth Industrial Revolution" means fundamentally is digitization. It means physical goods and their logistics being replaced with digital goods.

Digital goods mean you can have a contractor 3D artist (or a procedural AI) spit out some funky 3D model of a pair of shoes or a chair or something, and future serfs can spend Good Boy Tokens to buy it in the Metaverse and plunk it down in their fake living room, and all it costs the system is a minuscule amount of electricity. No factory floor space, no trees cut down, no ores dug up, no one is employed to make these things.

It's not even communism. At least Marxists are like "hey, maybe workers should get a fair share". The 4IR is something entirely different. The Overclass are trying to make us into their fucking pets.

Is there any way this "4IR" could collapse, or could it continue indefinitely?
It's basically an inevitable feature of technological progress, just as inevitable as the last industrial revolution, or the one before that. Once there's a new paradigm in place, it obliges everyone to make use of it simply because it's more "efficient" than the last and makes more "value" per unit of resources. Did people continue to pick cotton by hand when the cotton gin showed up? No? Then why would we expect authors, journalists, painters, and musicians to continue to have a job when an AI can do it instead?

I know quite a great deal about technocracy because I was into Thorstein Veblen and the like, back in the day. Technocracy is neither capitalism nor communism. It is pseudo-socialist; "socialism with computers". It is the replacement of voting and party politics with rule by credentialed experts, but also, it entails the eventual elimination of the price system and the allocation of resources based on determining people's physical needs by monitoring their minds, bodies, habits, and so on. Basically, human choice and subjective value are eliminated from the equation entirely. This is also known as an "RBE", or resource-based economy, because the general idea is to eventually do away with prices and money and just directly allocate resources using calculation-in-kind. Instead of working for each other, automated systems produce wealth and people are just automatically given an allowance by AI. Over time, as automation improves, the social purpose of work is eliminated and replaced with universal leisure time, and there you have it. Star Trek economy.

The idea is to eliminate the "inefficiency" present in capitalism. The profit motive in capitalism creates destructive incentives, like planned obsolescence. Razor companies make disposable razors that rust, tech companies make gadgets with batteries and capacitors that wear out before their time and aren't easy to solder out and replace, light bulb manufacturers collectively agree not to produce bulbs that last beyond a certain lifespan, and drug companies avoid curing chronic ailments for a lump sum when they could just trickle out pills that alleviate symptoms. If you eventually eliminate money, these problems go away; the new incentive becomes achieving the same effect with the least possible natural resources, at least in theory.

In practice, it's actually a bunch of oligarchs having us all pay rent to use the same communal baubles, while they continue to own property and carry on as if nothing happened.

So while it may sound "doomer", the BS status quo may never end until - and if - some huge disaster forces civilization to collapse?
Yes. If you want things to go backwards, you basically have to go full Posadism. Nuke everything, commune with dolphins, hang out with the Amish, reenact Mad Max, et cetera.

People still don't get it. The Overclass and the eggheads under them are creating an economy that doesn't need people. That's what digitization ultimately means.

Making a novel in 1920:
  • Lumberjacks chop down trees.
  • Trees trucked to paper mill.
  • Paper trucked to store.
  • Cotton harvested.
  • Cotton shipped off to a factory to be impregnated with ink.
  • Typewriter ribbons trucked to store.
  • Author buys cotton typewriter ribbon and paper and writes a manuscript.
  • Author sends manuscript to publisher to be looked over by editor.
  • Editor fixes up and approves manuscript and hands it to the typesetter.
  • Typesetter takes manuscript and typesets the novel and sends it to print.
  • Publisher gets their marketing team rolling.
  • More trees chopped down.
  • More trees trucked to paper mill.
  • Paper trucked to the printers.
  • Printers print and bind the books.
  • Books packaged up and trucked to bookstore.
  • Workers at bookstore stock shelves and ring up customers at the register.
Making a novel in 2020:
  • Some retard vomits their mental diarrhea into MS Word, half-formed, using their thumbs on their phone keyboard.
  • They open up the Editor to fix up their manuscript.
  • They export the file to PDF and send the PDF to Kindle Direct Publish.
  • A mouth-breathing moron downloads the eBook to their Kindle.
Making a novel in 2030:
  • "Alexa, tell me a story about a sci-fi supersoldier. With like, extra gore and stuff. And he totally gets the babe at the end."

After 2020, it really is easy to go full "doomer" and think that this world is really an eternal hell where evil won. I suppose that's how evil wants us all to think too.

"Alexa, tell me a story about a sci-fi supersoldier. With like, extra gore and stuff. And he totally gets the babe at the end."
And then the Alexa would dock points from the guy's "social credit score" for even asking that?

Hopefully many people still make art for enjoyment, and there will always be at least some good in this world. And hopefully one day, tyranny will fall, once and for all.

"Yikes! That's super-problematic. Women are not sex objects for the protagonist to obtain as a prize for victory. Would you like me to book you an appointment for Gender Rehabilitation next Tuesday?"

What's all this "it's inevitable" horseshit? These people go in front of cameras and bitch that not everyone is going along with their plan. They're confused by their plans not working as well as intended. If they understood their plan and had confidence in it, they'd anticipate the human reaction and wouldn't be even slightly discomfited by it.

Congratulations. You're now a very rich dude with a WEF membership, a private jet, a yacht, and a mansion.

I charge you with the sacred duty of figuring out how to feed 8 billion people and growing, and avoid them lopping your head off in the public square with a guillotine.

Scientists keep tugging your ear, telling you that aquifers and oil wells around the globe are running dry. Mines are running out of phosphorus for fertilizer. Soil erosion is turning an area the size of North Korea into desert, yearly. Guys like George Monbiot are telling you, over and over again, that average people will soon have a choice of either eating bugs or starving to death.

Meanwhile, there are populist, nationalist uprisings in one place after another around the globe. People are mad that they've been shut out of upward mobility because you've spent the past fifty years arrogating all GDP growth to yourself and your cronies while liquidating formerly productive industries, engaging in labor arbitrage, and paying sweatshop workers peanuts. The population is set to grow exponentially and overwhelm the planet's carrying capacity if you do nothing.

What do you do differently from what the Overclass are currently doing, if you were in their shoes?

Genocide Africa and use all my clever pet scientists to figure out a way to sterilize the bulk of the non-Whites in other countries, thereby relieving population pressure, et al.. If there are billions of "useless eaters" why aren't they being more discerning? I have infinitely more worth to this planet than the African. I can build the toys they require for their lives of pleasure. It's their inability to see this clearly that makes me question their ability to see anything clearly.

This is actually a very common refrain I see. "If you're trying to get rid of useless eaters, why not clear out Africa?"

Actually, if you're trying to save the planet, then white people are the first people you eliminate because we demand too high of living standards and therefore have an "unsustainable" per-capita GDP and carbon footprint. Africa actually has the tiniest GDP and carbon footprint per capita, so they are a negligible contributor to the effects of "overpopulation" because they're all dirt fucking poor.

But you can't just come right out and say "white people have too high of living standards and have to reduce their living standards to save the planet", because this is an immensely unpopular political position. So instead, you cloak your intentions to economically deprive white people by saying that whites are the beneficiaries of "white privilege".

As for your ability to build toys for the rich, the rich are actively trying to replace you with AI, Kuka multi-axis arms, and Boston Dynamics bipeds and quadrupeds. They want to outdo your productivity so they can no longer justify the cost of keeping you alive.

US workers are actually a liability, from the overclass's perspective, simply because of the cost of labor, regardless of our high productivity. This was how things stacked up in 2012:

Throughout the 2010s, Chinese factory worker wages climbed a bit, but China struggled to artificially devalue their currency to keep their export markets strong. Chinese workers don't care they're getting squeezed out of upward mobility in the process. They'll work for a bowl of rice a day, and then Elon Musk will call their practical slavery a "good work ethic".

However, Chinese factory workers making even a mere $4 an hour was too much for the Overclass. They actually wanted to re-outsource to Africa, hoping to go back to the golden era of paying workers $1 an hour or less and giving the surplus to their shareholders, but it proved impossible. Africa, as a whole, is simply too retarded and doesn't have any infrastructure.

So, you've genocided Africa, but you're still in the same exact situation you were in when you started. What do you do next?

These globohomo control freaks don't believe that human beings have a right to autonomy and self-determination. They think they have a right to micromanage people in the most minute, most asinine of details with implanted technology. They aren't even discreet about it. They are very open about their intentions.

We can't let them get away with enslaving mankind.
My God, they really are a bunch of rich old fucks trying to force dumb sci fi idealism onto humanity.

So, you've genocided Africa, but you're still in the same exact situation you were in when you started. What do you do next?
Ignore you so I don't have to read highfalutin doomposts. If you truly believed what you said you wouldn't spend so much time writing that crap. You'd be getting yours while the getting's still possible.

I think the transgenderism trend is also them trying to cull women. They see us as more dangerous "useless eaters" because we can breed children. Women in first world countries will die off before the men do.

Unfortunately he's right more often than not. I can totally see what he says being true...but I think the Overclass are really overestimating their power, here. I think their new systems are more likely to backfire or fail then they are to give them what they want.
