I mean I am on team Sub with a few exceptions.Because they see those VAs as an extension of the characters they love.
But I don't view voice actors as an extension of the characters

That sounds like a you thing.I mean I am on team Sub with a few exceptions.
But I don't view voice actors as an extension of the characters
I mean caring about Subs is pretty cringeThat sounds like a you thing.
While I do see both sides of the dub vs sub argument I'm also of the opinion that a lot of the people who can't stop seeing voice actors as extensions of the characters they play are those who tend to watch dubs. The only time it remotely applies to the Japanese seiyuu are the creepy otaku who live within Japan.I mean caring about Subs is pretty cringe
9/10 subs have inferior voice acting anyway
I don't just do it for AnimuSub watchers by and large from what I've noticed usually separate the art from the artist. I guess having a language barrier helps in that regard.
Completely understandable. Though I do feel bad for those on the right who blacklisted or screwed over on opportunities in the industry because of their political beliefs.I don't just do it for Animu
I embrace the reality that more leftoids are in entertainment media than rightoids. You need to be truly obnoxious, for me to wash my hands of a project because of your actions.
And in the long term its unhelpful to society.Completely understandable. Though I do feel bad for those on the right who blacklisted or screwed over on opportunities in the industry because of their political beliefs.
the irony is that most voice actors are insane and need to be isolated from the rest of AmericaAnd in the long term its unhelpful to society.
Tucker Carlson can only get ads from Doomsday Prepper companies (for example) how is that going to effect what he talks about?
If you push people out of the main stream for just disagreeing with you....your going to promote a culture of violence.
They just stole the LasAGnA joke from Pewdiepie that is the funny part since they can't make their own jokes to save their livesThe second most unfunny and over used Vic roast next to "vIC LasAGnA", creativity being one of the many things KV lacks in.
because the similarities between Vic and John are staggering don't you know? i mean they both have blonde hair... and that's it.
And outside of Marzgurl doing the Evangelion OP, none of KV decided to hit the recording studio. They just stole the LasAGnA joke from Pewdiepie that is the funny part since they can't make their own jokes to save their lives
Most are not even that famous. Some admit to using bots to get high numbers so half the time they are talking to themselvesAnd outside of Marzgurl doing the Evangelion OP, none of KV decided to hit the recording studio.
Source on Tekko bragging about not inviting Vic to their convention?Hey gang, remember that time TekkoCon ridiculed Vic and bragged about not re-inviting him again years ago?
If they openly ridiculed him because they stopped inviting them then they reap what they sow and the deserve whatever they get.Hey gang, remember that time TekkoCon ridiculed Vic and bragged about not re-inviting him again years ago?
Well, the convention owners are not so cocky now. They are going through financial dire straits due to COVID and are struggling so much they even failed to get a 2021 con off the ground. The economic downturn of this year only exacerbates the problem.
As a last minute resort, this pathetic excuse of a con is now resorting to e-begging to stay in business. They need $60,000 in their fundraiser or else they won’t have a con this July. And if they can’t reach $100,000 by the end of this year, Tekko is dead in the water.
I say let it die.
These people deserve all the mockery they get for their shenanigans and reading through this hilarious sob story only reinforces that. I would personally pay money just to see them go under. My favorite part of reading through this is the part where they explain the refund situation.
“Good faith letter”, because God forbid cons know how to run a business and have heard of this thing called “policy”.
Enjoy the pity-party statement below for laughs.
And they even have vaccine and mask requirements. https://tekko.us/news/covid-19-policy-for-tekko-2022Hey gang, remember that time TekkoCon ridiculed Vic and bragged about not re-inviting him again years ago?

Actually, I don't. The last time TekkoCon was talked about in this subforum was when Jennifer Lynn Hunt went after Peter Gaudoin, TekkoCon's CEO.Hey gang, remember that time TekkoCon ridiculed Vic and bragged about not re-inviting him again years ago?
Upon looking at this, it turns out I was wrong, so I'm the one who deserves the mockery.Actually, I don't. The last time TekkoCon was talked about in this subforum was when Jennifer Lynn Hunt went after Peter Gaudoin, TekkoCon's CEO.
Not sure if Gaudoin is still the CEO, though.
I know the previous owner and CEO of the defunct Tekkoshocon, Inc., Jim Gogal, is a bitter faggot and resents Gaudoin & the Pittsburgh Japanese Culture Society (current owners).
Gogal was the one feeding Manjaw ammunition against Gaudoin & the PJCS.
Point being that I don't remember Gaudoin making any statements ridiculing Vic.
Gogal, on the other hand, used Manjaw as his mouthpiece and cudgel regarding alleged incidents with Vic.
They're killing their business with covid restrictions. Maybe they DO deserve ridicule. And they even have vaccine and mask requirements. https://tekko.us/news/covid-19-policy-for-tekko-2022
I’m getting some Dashcon vibes from this.
Didn't Vic say in his affidavit (which as we all know is EVIDENCE) that 60K is what he used to make for a lot of cons? Sounds like Tekko might want to give someone a call and an apology...As a last minute resort, this pathetic excuse of a con is now resorting to e-begging to stay in business. There's so many dumbass Covidians out there that if they didn't have the restrictions a bunch of retards on Twitter would start screeching at them calling them science-hating alt-right Nazi murderers like they did that one animu convention which dared deviate from The Science. On the other hand they'd probably be perfectly fine without any of that nonsense given those people don't usually spend money on anything except Netflix and Funkopops from Amazon. They're killing their business with covid restrictions. Maybe they DO deserve ridicule.
