When someone calls you on the fact that what you’re saying doesn’t even add up or is nonsensical, just double down and insist they don’t know what they’re talking about.

It's a more "self serving but clever" light.
The Death Note gets put up for auction, and Ryuuk adds a new rule that whoever takes the Death Note from him will die. Trump wins the auction, but turns down taking it, but will announce that he took it anyway and that the US will keep it in a secure location for safe keeping, since having it and not using it will make him look like a saint. I'd compare it to the new Koizumi manga in how it pokes fun at him without just devolving into TDS

Surprisingly decently positive IIRC.
IIRC he buys the Death Note from the dude and makes some arrangement with Ryuk to get rid of it as Ryuki had said if he bought it he would die all to make put the public at ease after a new Kira had been committing murders. I might be misremembering a few things cause I ain't the biggest Death Note fan.
