Here is the progression 4, 3, 2, 1 and recent.

Also: Phil is not above priming since the priming is basically just lying and he lies several times a minute. So yes, lying about 1MM existing as a phantom tip is totally within the realm of possibility.

Gonna be honest, didn't think they would get the views they do without wings in their titles like before. Good on them that they're able to expand.

Until it involves money or anything else that he wants or believes is rightfully 'his'. You're not wrong, he's a simple minded man. But when it comes to getting his, Phil's neurons start to activate just a little. With that and a bit of determination, Phil has managed to:

• Lie his way into a chapter 11 bankruptcy and get all of his CC debt discharged while keeping all his possessions and not being exposed by the court as a mobile game addict and an alcoholic.
• Cajole his audience out of two grand to reveal he had a cat for months.
• Claim gacha pulls and alcohol on his taxes as business expenses
• Con his audience into fronting his taxes across several years while also not paying said taxes.
• Convince a barely legal fan of his to be his girlfriend and move in with him.
• Convince another girl to cheat on her own boyfriend and visit him across the country.
• Scam his patrons with the false promise of a video series reboot.

When he's properly motivated, he can do a lot of things. They're just the kinds of things most people wouldn't be proud of.

God look at these disgusting sellout scumbags. First they spent their own money trying to get their fat depressed friend to lose weight and invited him to camping trips to get him out of his trailer and maybe have a good time away from the internet. Then they have the gall to take money from multi-million dollar advertisers instead of begging for their fans to take out 2nd mortgages to tip them money. Thankfully we have honest content creators like Dark Side, out there who don't take corporate sponsorships so we can get honest real opinions about video games.

Low streams usually happen in the evenings.
He only streams 2 hours in the evenings.
I haven't checked the numbers but I think he gets 50$ on average on the second streams.
Lets say he stands at 15$ after the first hour and then "fakes" a 25$ tip. I doubt he would get more than 10 more bucks during the second hour.
There just isn't enough time for a "fake" tip to take effect. (unlike the day streams where there are 2 hours left after the BTS tip)

EDIT: Aside from that, it would "break" the established 1MM narrative, that he only tips during the day.

Okay. Once and for all. Phil will not prime. Phil has no fucking foresight. No fucking concept of psychology. Phil will demand people auto renew his shit. And scream about suing companies for *daring* to take his money unprompted. Nothing. In 10+ years of Phillip Burnells incredibly archived career suggests he would ever. Ever. Take the road of spending money on himself. Or even allowing his fucking dents a goddamn break. If he has 98/100 on his goal. And someone tips him $1.99. That goal becomes 99/100.

You know. I know it. We all know it. We have seen it happen. In what world, does that man also bump up $25? He doesn't.

He won't pay the money. He won't pretend the money. This is like assuming OPL will fucking do some work to trick you into shit. Its not true. And we have such mountains of evidence of the their character, that we fucking know.

Seeing a low tip, or a missed tip goal is a slight to him, makes him feel like the failure he fucking is, and he can't handle that, so he has to bump it up to make him feel like he's not failing.

Doing stupid, self-destructive shit to make himself feel like a big important man is something he's done constantly, and we have plenty of evidence for, including Khet herself.

Now, mind, I'm not saying it's a sure fact he is donating to himself, I'm not nearly autistic enough to say that without a doubt, but let's not pretend that donating to himself so he can clap his fat, retarded mitts together and say he's a successful streemur is somehow below him.

Because if we follow the analogy that @The One And Only SALTE used before, it would be the equivalent of the jar being stuffed all the way to the top with the bartender's own money. seeing that might make people less likely to tip if they would have tipped under the impression that the bartender had a dire financial need for the money. Phil is acutely aware of this concept, which is why once the goal is hit, he adjusts his overlay to say "Tips total" instead of "Tips goal". The money has simply been moved to a bigger jar so it doesn't look full anymore.

To add to this:
If Phil would start getting "phantom tips" at the end of the streams just to inflate the tips total, people would assume that some "phantom whale" will always "safe the stream" and stop tipping themselves.
(Just like during the vest streak)

Like I said, I'm not nearly so autistic to sit here and debate this. I don't know enough to really have a stake in it. I'm just saying it's not out of the realm of possibility.
