It's a reference to Linda Ellerbee who hosted Nick News on Nickelodeon. It's a bit more obscure than, say, the cartoons shown on Nickelodeon in the 90s (Rocko, Ren & Stimpy, etc), but any kid growing up in the 90s who watched Nickelodeon regularly would see a Nick News segment at some point.

Chris has a an associate in applied science degree in CADD in addition to the certificate. They're both outdated, and it took him a long time and a lot of help from Bob to get them, but he has been awarded a degree. You can see it here.

Chris did particularly badly at coloring this drawing. It also looks like he made some errors in the symbols at first and glued scraps of paper over them as a way of fixing.

It's becoming such that the Merge is all that Chris is able to talk about these days. The only way to get any other information out of him seems to be how the topic relates to the Merge.

He did say the payments needed for the house were being paid. So there’s hope for information.

Yea I want to know what's going on there, someone is paying and while Barb is a shutin I can't see other than her who is paying the mortgage.

He knows just about the same as everyone else. Unless Barb started writing to him, which I think happened the first few months behind bars. After that, not much else. Unless Barb started writing to Chris post car accident, and Chris is smart enough to keep those conversations to himself.

The point is, it's a piece of paper that says, in Piedmont Virginia Community College's estimation, Chris is competent to be employed at Computer Aided Design and Drafting.

Chris is not.

What schools don't understand it that, by giving out these false certifications / degrees/ etc. they are only de-legitimizing themselves. If I were to ever need to hire someone for CADD, it certainly won't be anyone from PVCC.

Does Barb still have access to Chris' bank account? It's possible his tugboat was not shut off, and Barb (or Tom and Harriet at this point) has been using those funds.

It would probably be okay to hire someone from that school but they should have a portfolio to show what they are capable of. Chris's CADD portfolio may as well be a list of all the stores he royally decrees shall be put in a mall.
