The elephant is in the room, the thing no one wants to really talk about it the bare fact that in 2024 no matter which side wins half of America will think that the elections is fraudulent.

GoP or Dems, the losing side will feel and think that the election was stolen, falsified, fortified what ever you want to call it.

Even in 2016, no one said the institution was broken. They accepted Trump won and won fairly under the rules of the system but in 2024 that ain't going to happen. No matter what half of Americans will not accept the results in 2024. If the GoP wins the Dem's and their lapdogs will scream that it's all fake and fraud and that the will of the people has been subverted ect ect. Ditto goes if the Dem's wins.

I just don't see a way to fix this. In my mind in 2024 the America Experiment will be over as I just can't see a a way forward. Short of a Jesus type figure who can somehow unify both sides their will be a catastrophic split.

The worse part is the MSM will be the ones to really benefit from this. The outrage articles will flow like a river and they will reap the rewards of eyeballs, clicks and funding. I won't pretend to know what happens after 2024 but I will wager that no one will like it.

ABC spoke like democrats retaining the house and gaining 4 senate seats was something that had already happened, like it was a report of fact. The polling for the administration and the democrat party is abysmal and they had over 30 people retire from the house. Republicans haven't been in a position this good since at least 2010 midterms, possibly ever, to get both chambers of congress. That would need to be "fix is in" to monumental scale. Back when Trump got into office in 2016 he tried to create a bipartisan cabinet made up of the foremost experts in each section. Due to entrenched interests and a successful propaganda campaign most refused to even consider it.

Quite a few of them have had public breaks with the Dems now. Musk being a very big one.

Trump is very likely to open that offer again to a few, Musk among that group, and Musk has a lot more reason to seriously consider. Trump was in fact always open to renewables as an option but is a realist. Musk acknowledges the limitations of the current tech and his company Tesla is basically the only major company trying to advance it to general product levels of usefulness. It is also an American company.

In return for a seat on the cabinet and a promise that his company will buy from American suppliers, Trump could offer in turn a lot of official and unofficial support for that market which Musk himself is very much interested in advancing... and now a -lot- less ideologically opposed to Trump.

Don't forget all the federal judiciary spots Trump got to fill because Hillary was supposed to win, and Obama left them open so the Clintons could install their own cabal of judges to cement their power. Now, I think the conservative branch of the SCOTUS, especially Alito and Thomas now realize what the Democrats' plans were, and are trying to reign in the power of the federal government as much as they can before they lose control of the court.

Rigging this shit isn't hard, but protecting the rig so that it isn't undone - that's where the problem is, and that's where the parts that require political capital come in. Getting a bunch of dipshit volunteers to stuff ballots takes nothing; stopping an angry electorate from getting a fucking recount and/or audittakes everything. All that requires a cost; a cost that in establishment hack means favors for favors, and there's a shitload of those that came due in 2020 and will never be paid off.

That means they will be focused solely on the locals and protecting their own asses. The fortifications they will be able to pull off, at best, will be keeping headquarter districts suitably blue, and even that may not be enough in a few cases given how badly the establishment Dems have fucked up in the last four years. Dipshit do-nothing DAs that spike the crime rate and fail to prosecute, local governors who couldn't stop fellating the COVID hysteria, and terrible fucking Dem policies are doing a fine job of making them work overtime for this shit already; even pulling out all the stops won't be enough to budge the needle nationally.

Twitter recently got exposed as working with the DHS to effectively block any mention of Biden's illegitimacy, and Musk has made absolutely clear there's going to be a new game in town if Twitter is going to ever be profitable. CNN is dying hard in real time, Brian Stelter is potentially facing down being fired, and less people trust the mainstream press than at any point in time in America's history. The paradigm has officially shifted, and not in a direction even remotely beneficial to the Dems, which may be why over fifty of the fuckers are retiring this year.

All of that doesn't even count that Biden's been on an Any% speedrun to make the biggest fuckups of the last 12 presidencies look like a wet fart in contrast, and how he's managed to fuck up so comprehensively that I've actually heard progressives state they're unironically nostalgic for the days of Dubya or Trump.
