As far as I know the official definition of a snuff film is a video of murder that was made and sold for profit. Since all the infamous murder videos (3 guys 1 hammer, 1 lunatic 1 icepick, etc.) weren't made for profit and no one's ever proven that 1 of these murder videos was made for financial gain, snuff films are currently considered bullshit by law enforcement. So Plagued Moth is technically right when he says snuff films go "beyond death on camera".
