In 2016, they said Russia stole the election from Hillary, and we had two years of investigations. The new government was not even allowed to function because of accusations of a stolen election. I'm sure people have already said this 50 times already, but I just saw this and am responding now.

Remember when Trump was impeached for a "quid pro quo" that was in fact nothing of the kind? This would actually be a quid pro quo.

He pointed the absolute fuck out of their hypocrisy. Surely they will never recover from such a blow.
Heres the thing about "Quid Pro Quos"... they are not actually illegal, unless its somehow to the personal and private benefit of the individual (and even then are usually ignored because literally every politician does it. It is how the system -runs-), In this case, the politician 'only' benefits by having someone go on their cabinet. Not a direct financial or political benefit viewed as an "in-kind" benefit.

Tis perfectly legal.

Addendum: There is a reason that it bombed so hard and nobody who looked at it legally thought it would work. That first impeachment. It was a -massive- stretch that if successful would have condemned every politician ever. And is why they tried to make that impeachment about everything -but- the actual quid pro quo. The lines about the quid pro quo were mostly to sell it to the public.

Two years? It was all four years he was in office.

The first two years were investigating the "stolen" election. The third year was investigating the "quid pro quo" (which of course was just Trump asking Ukraine to investigate quid pro quos with Biden). The fourth year was a mix of investigating how Trump might be stealing mailboxes, and trying to set up a trap where they would impeach him for protecting American citizens and infrastructure from terrorist attacks.

And that's just what the Republicans were doing.

They are actually illegal. Of course they happen. But you can't be caught actually telling someone, "do something for my administration, and in return, I'll do things that double the value of your stock portfolio." You have to say, "We'd love to have an expert like you aboard, Mr Paulson. Someone with such vast experience in the banking sector as you would surely be a great benefit to my administration, WINK WINK WINK WINK WINK WINK WINK."

Of your two examples, the former is illegal (Direct financial benefit) the second... isn't based on what you have given alone. No direct benefit at all given.

I think we need to adjust expectations accordingly for the following realities:
  1. There will be millions of centrists and independents who will get scared into voting blue because they get fed nonstop propaganda that voting red will result in a depression.
  2. As hard as it is to believe, there are millions of people who benefit from this system. Every wine aunt who pushes paper in a bureaucracy, every frizzy haired mulatto that works as a diversity consultant, every middle manager who gets six figures to manage a green energy project…they’ll be voting to keep their system of government largesse going.
  3. If the GOP does recapture Congress, their priorities will be tax cuts and more free shit for Israel. Maybe a dog and pony show about impeaching Biden. Anything that will avoid moving the needle on anything.
I wouldn’t be blackpilled, instead you should try to get active and others to vote as well…if you think voting is going to get the outcome you’d like.

It really is getting tiresome hearing about Israel.

Charlie Kirk at one of those turning point events recently deflected hard on some troll asking him about the USS Liberty incident.

I say troll because the expected response well was expected.

There will be a red wave in 2022, but it will be the red wave of Eyepatch McCain, Senate Majority Leader McConnell, Speaker of the House McCarthy, and other "conservatives" rather than anyone who will start the process of fixing the country. Removing these establishment goons from Congress is a far harder process than electing someone like Trump.

And they're getting better at fixing their primaries. I think they'll fuck with the 2024 Republican primaries, because they seem to be doing a decent job with the 2022 primaries. Hence why they do screwy shit to get decent candidates removed from the ballot, throw elections to Democrat challengers, do everything they can to screw over the other people on the ballot, all sorts of shit. Makes me wonder if they'll have "fixed" the problem with their primary that let Trump walk all over their scumbags (Democrats would never have that problem because their establishment only loses primaries when they're too fucking lazy to show up like how AOC got elected, case in point Hillary 2016).

Well there is death, that will one day come for all those folks as far as the old guard goes.

The new guard conservatives seem more incompetent and need Democrats to win in some of those open primaries, another reason for why closed primaries are needed.

Overall though the folks running need to deliver results or the establishment comes back since populism does dry out at some point.

Meanwhile in France Le Pens' party looks like it's going to score upwards of 90 seats, up from the 8 they previously held. Polling was completely wrong and it's clear this is a shock to the elites.

This is a huge deal, but all I keep hearing is "actually, Macron's party still has WAY MORE seats than the RN." But the story isn't the raw# of seats, it's the fact, as you state, that she now has 10 times more seats than her party has EVER had.

Melenchon (the most popular lefty) got about 139 I think, but (and this would have been a smart thing for MLP to do, but whatever) he did it by pulling together a coalition of the four biggest left-wing parties (including, literally, the Communists).

Ultimately not a goddamn thing changes I think. Les Republicains, which are one half of our Uniparty, got enough seats that if they join with Macron (which they will), then Macron has his majority.

For the all socialist squabbling with the Frogs, if anyone on the French right-wing ran anyone without the surname Le Pen, that election would've been closer. The political climate is indeed right trending.

I am confused on something that I saw recently in the comments section of a Styx video lol.

So is Macron just playing both Ukraine and Russia lol?

And Germany wants to destroy right to bear arms when its usually the British that push for that.

Not so fast. We did have that guy, Zemmour. And just as he began to gain steam, what happened to him? Boom, a political trial and a racism conviction for saying mean things about migrants.

:story:

She said "when you are dealing with high prices on everything from gas, to food, to rent, and that's the only thing you are hearing about in the media sometimes. Come this November, will voters be more concerned with saving money than saving democracy?"

Cross brought on MSNBC analyst and Democrat pollster Fernand Amandi, who warned Americans that they "better" remember January 6th, calling it nothing less than the most important story in the history of the republic! Hyperbole much?

Breaking out a lame and incoherent scare tactic, Amandi claimed that as bad as inflation and gas prices are now:

"Wait till you see what it's like in a totalitarian, fascist, authoritarian government. Because you ain't seen nothing yet. And I say that as someone who comes from a Cuban family, who—go to Cuba now. Ask me about gas prices and the economy there. Go to Venezuela. Go to Russia."

Republicans are only allowed three things: forever wars, tax cuts, and Israel. The forever wars are basically finished, the political will does not exist anymore. Even those heccin’ Ukrainarinos. Based on Ukraine, it seems more preferable by the (((elite))) to just dump umpteen billion dollars into an unaccountable black hole.

In an era of supply chain issues, runaway inflation, and now a recession, Israel is the last thing on the average voter’s mind. Yet they keep pushing more aid packages and preferable sales of materiel to some tiny country thousands of miles away. It’s incredibly tone deaf to talk about Israel at this time but the (((donors))) demand it so Republicans will shuck and jive accordingly. Like the forever wars, the support for Israel is not bottomless and in tough times, people are going to be looking out for them and theirs. Pushing Israel too hard can even start a backlash, which has already been brewing on the left.

Put the panties of all the wrong people in a bunch, but he's totally right.
He literally is selling RINO hunting permits.

Remember, the Uniparty still has dreams of somehow tricking the right into being controlled opposition. The idea that populist candidates are now openly mocking and opposing the Uniparty's carefully selected RINO shepherds meant to keep them in line has to be completely fucking terrifying.
