E3 (but not really) 2022

gotta say, after a week of steam next fest this whole e3 feels like the memory of a bad aftertaste. so much good shit, so little time...

Not only do they have Deus Ex, they now have LEGACY OF GODDAMNED KAIN. Holy fuck, just thinking about a potential remastered collection of Blood Omen and Soul Reaver makes me have an erection the size of the Eiffel Tower.
and then watch it get put under deep silver. careful what you wish for.

The new theory is that Ninty is getting the Xeno Direct out of the way this week so it won't take up 20 minutes of the general Direct that supposedly is gonna happen next week. Plausible, but I'll believe it when I see it
My optimism is dead now but I am a xeno guy so at least I'm eating

Thirdly, Astrobot finally broke 20 million copies sold for the series. It's the only Studio japan IP to do so. Team Asobi began as an offshoot and as of current has all the studio Japan IPs under their corporate umbrella. Astro is just a year younger than Kat, he was created a year after Gravity Rush.
It sold fucking nothing, it comes preinstalled and counting that as sales only underlines how shit sony are now and how desperate fanboys are

Nintendo directs generally operate on the schedule of February/March (2018, 2019, 2020 (Mini), 2021, 2022) and September (2018, 2019, 2020 (into three minis), 2021) Sorry for the japanese links

My own assumption is that E3 being cancelled means Nintendo doesn't care to showcase the usual Direct for this month

You're forgetting that Astrobot Rescue Mission came before Astro's Playroom. That was a legitimate full sized game that's deemed one of the best VR games ever made and was one of the games that people bought a PSVR for.

As it turns out, E3 dying does not stop modern day video game showcases from being shit.
They were always shit but now they're selling you the corn that used to be in the turds for free as separate DLC.

and how many millions of copies did that sell?

strange, it looks like the vita version of Gravity rush alone has more players than people who even bothered to start up astrobot when they got it for free, almost as if astrobot is such a complete garbage soulless nothing that people dont even want to play it for free, let alone buy it

PSN Profiles doesn't work like that, it's just people who bothered to sign up it doesn't give you the total numbers of players on PSN.

What are the sales numbers, provide better data instead of crying
The PSVR itself sold around 5 million units.

When Astrobot launched it was one of the best selling games for the system

You can also check on PSN Profiles, the people who bought Elden Ring and Horizon Forbidden are not that far apart. Their total numbers are fairly close to each other. That would mean if you're taking their %s as accurate, Forbidden West would not be all that far behind Elden Ring.

Not dissing Xenoblade or anyone who's excited for it, it's just not for me.
So long as it doesn’t have 2’s gacha mechanic it’ll probably be great.

It comes preinstalled on every ps5. What the fuck are you smoking?

How is it even possible that the only video game I'm looking even mildly forward to coming out between now and Christmas is "Two Point Campus"? And I'm probably the only person on this forum that even knows that game exists.
In the same boat here. Hoping the release window doesn't slip again.
