Dr. Rachel McKinnon / Dr. Veronica Ivy / Rhys McKinnon / Rachel Veronica McKinnon / Foxy Moxy / SportIsARight - failed out of a tenured job,man who competes in womens sports, gained like 100 lbs in 2022 (page 813), comically fell off bike before a race (page 830)

Could you ever imagine our Veronica Ivy with that smile?

Since you mention it, no I can't. Even if Rhys weren't a troon and even if he was a really great guy he just has the worst smile: it's either a dead-eyed grin that reminds me of a stereotypical frat boy pig who's about to rape a girl who's had too much to drink and went to lie down in a dark corner of the frat house or it's the classic AGP smirk.

It's rare, but there are some people who just shouldn't smile. I wouldn't say he necessarily looks worse when he smiles, but it just acts as a foil for the broad, unfocused anger and contempt he harbors against women and humanity more generally. Fortunately, Rhys' awful smile matches his awful personality. (And frat boy pig rapist kind of is accurate for Rhys given his complete lack of respect for the principle of consent and women's sexual agency and his robust defense of the rights of sex pests to extort and take whatever they want from real women).

The law doesn't say woman though. It says female (or, rather sex). There's no real legal precedent in the US conflating that with gender.

This is really just a matter of the judiciary nutting up and actually applying the law.
This is one of the most obvious circuit splits I can see out there soon even if the Fifth wasn't acting the way it has been. And I'm pretty sure the activists are too dumb to not try to fight it to the Supreme Court with a six seat conservative majority rather than keep it to state courts for now.

They'd desperately need to hope for yet another Gorsuch textual hail-mary that Roberts will join like Bostock, but that'd be a hell of a push for school kids and even colleges. Basically would be the second time trans activists took something to the Court and had to rely on Trump and W. appointees to save them with no argument they probably actually brought to the Court. (Especially since I suspect a Title IX gutting on self-ID grounds might awaken some TERFs to silently petition and all three progressive votes are women now.) Though somebody "progressive" arguing to Gorsuch that his Bostock ruling means he should eliminate Title IX would be pretty funny.

Rhys could realistically live another 25 years. Could you imagine what a 65 year old Rhys in a Hoverround would be like? He could even get back into teaching, look at what I just found:

I joked about it but this is Tranada, they'd hire him in a heartbeat. I suppose in a lot of ways we're lucky that he's so lazy. He has the capacity and the opportunities to be a real harmful shit. In another instance of the simulation, he is. I'm not sure which would be the better milk but I prefer things this way.

Still hoping he makes the CBC board though, finger crossed! Which is more work than Rhys put into his campaign.

I'm not sure it's been written up by the sporting press quite yet -- the congress only took place this morning -- but it's hit Twitter: FINA, the international governing body for swimming, has kicked the troons out.

Okay, here's ESPN:

Swimming's world governing body, FINA, on Sunday voted to restrict the participation of transgender athletes in elite women's competitions and create a working group to establish an "open" category for them in some events as part of its new policy.

The new policy, which takes effect Monday, will require transgender competitors to have completed their transition by the age of 12 to be able to compete in women's competitions. The working group will spend the next six months to determine how to set up the new open category, FINA said.

The regulations would have a major impact on the career of Lia Thomas, who earlier this year became the first openly transgender woman to win a NCAA Division I women's swimming title.

ETA: and we got some real good seething in the replies so far.

Rhys "Troony McTroonface" Mckinnon
Gavin "Laurel" Hubbard
Callum "Hannah" Mouncey
Zach "Emily" Bridges
"Andraya" Yearwood

I could go on and on, but you get the point. Pretending that this only started with Liar Thomas is disingenuous in the extreme. This has been going on for years in every sport, and people are finally getting fed the fuck up with it enough to do something to stop it.

I am glad that people are finally learning that “screeching and calling people Nazis” is all TRAs ever do and that you can literally just ignore them.

The snowball is rolling and will get bigger. First the UCI and now FINA. There should be a troon ban in another sport by the end of the month but might be delayed.

Such a shame there are hidden alternatives to twitter. I would like to read the reeeeeeeeing from Dr.Toad and his circle of jerkers as they get fucked of out of it, week on week.

How do the pickles taste, Rhys?

My first reaction was indignation, so I think this is a good compromise. What's important is that they can't cheat in one sport anymore. We still have to use their neopronouns and ignore their crossdressing, but in a significant way they have been slowed. I'm not sure this is a victory but it certainly isn't a loss. Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition.

Not to mention USA Powerlifting a few years ago, though maybe that didn't make waves as much since powerlifting is a bit more niche than swimming or cycling?

The USA Weightlifting thing is kind of interesting to look back on, because they didn't sugarcoat it. They just said, "Trannies out." There wasn't any hedge involving testosterone levels like with the UCI or transition age like with FINA. (USA lifting is not big on sugarcoating. As I am fond of recounting, they once banned Sarah Robles because they decided her PCOS medication qualified as performance-enhancing.)

But I think the other orgs took a bit of a lesson there, because the USA lifting decision caught them a fair amount of bad publicity and resulted in at least one lawsuit. Even a bullshit lawsuit costs money to defend. Other sports are going to try and soften the blow with policies that seem less than entirely hardline, while in practical terms they'll still keep the troons out, or at least keep them out of any level of competition that will ever involve a TV broadcast.

The troon invasion of women's powerlifting was especially brutal to see given how extraordinarily difficult it was for women in the West to establish legitimized leagues and competitions of their own and not just participate in men's competitions as side-show exhibition novelties. You can say there are barriers to women entering all or most sports but, in the midcentury, powerlifting was a sport that even men were dissuaded from taking up lest they become musclebound, so you can imagine what the response was to women who wanted to train and compete.

When you think about the work that the Jan Todds of the sport put into ensuring women were able to compete in the sport as a sport and not just as a "look at the chick in the bikini hoist a barbell" novelty and when you remember that women's powerlifting was barely a mere forty years old when troons started invading the sport, stealing women's opportunity to compete fairly and with dignity, it's just all the feels. Women's powerlifting was recognized and existed for the blink of an eye before men in pink scrunchies calling themselves women tried to wrest it from them again.

Fuck me, Rhys is trying to get on the Cycling BC board of directors

Brotherman, I guarantee you are more powerful than Rhys. That's not a compliment, it's because he's a fat lazy fuck. You will never be a woman.

I honestly don't know if I want Rhys to sneed this election or not. Either way I think we win.
Small update on the CBC board of directors election:
The online voting closed at midnight yesterday, and the results will be announced at their 2022 Annual General Meeting tomorrow at 7:00 PM (PST). It's a virtual meeting, and I'm not sure, but you might have to RSVP by filling out the online form to get the meeting link & listen in (if anyone is interested in doing this). Otherwise, we can just wait until they post the results on their website - keep an eye on this page.

Something I found funny...
CBC posted a reminder on June 18th about voting for the election on their Facebook and Instagram, but the reminder is conspicuously absent on their Twitter account. 🤔

They probably got pushback from Twitter TERFs after the original announcement and decided to skip out on posting the reminder on Twitter.

You know, Troony McTroonface has been conspicuously quiet lately. I would have thought that he would be blowing up his twitter decrying all the "transphobes" in the sporting federations, since UCI, FINA (swimming) and World Athletics (track & field) have all come out in the last week with bans on, or proposals to ban troons in women's sports.

What do you guys think is the reason he's been so quiet on the topic? Narc rage at no longer being the world's premiere tranny sports cheat?

That, and between the public perception shift + his own life path, he no longer has the feeling that he’s in an unassailable position of power from which he can shout his demands for compliance.

I think he's simply wounded when people disagree with him. Now it's gotten to the point that every single thing he posts gets shit. Here look at the replies to his pickle post:

No friends jumped in to back him up. Fatrick is down for Twitter war but at least he has friends. Rhys is all alone, it makes perfect sense he would keep to himself. Probably the smartest thing he's ever done.
