I didnt know that Botan had started to play Project Zomboid, i know some NijiENs did a multiplayer stream (it was a blast) but Botan is doing it solo and really makes me wish i knew moonspeak, Zomboid really triggers my autism and Botan seems like she's comfy playing it

Oh boy, nothing activates my video game autism like zombie survival games, 10 minutes in and I'm already chewing my nails watching her fumble with how to cook food. Admittedly, the system is weird as shit on how to make some particular things or what you can or can't do, what does or doesn't get used in x or y recipes, etc. I've honestly thought of taking some time to really dig into the modding and write out some patching shit to streamline crafting in regards to cooking, but I'm sure there's probably a mod or three out there that already does that I just haven't seen, and I also don't want to put up with the other autists and retards that populate steam workshop.

PZ has always been clunky from a mechanics standpoint, gives a lil bit more "realism" but some things you don't really know until you either play PZ alot or watch tutorials. And you're right that there are mods that can help but Botan will likely be able to weather through the clunkiness and find some good outta the game. Plus it just means more Lioness giggles + zombie shennanigans, a win for all Hag Bros

No I get it, it's just the sperging of someone who has over 500 hours in the game having a mental disconnect about how awkward the learning stage is when it comes to figuring out how to make a pot of spaghetti, flavoured with the unique spice of someone who has also been in food service for 12 years having unrepentant brainrot over culinary crafting in video games.

It's going to be nice to watch Botan play regardless. I miss Nina's streams of it but I won't miss the actual screaming over the weak shit jumpscares from the spineless white woman, lion cackles are a far superior replacement.

that being said it might simply be a logistics thing. as @vestars20 said holos pay to produce their own merch (or maybe if they only want specific stuff), no idea how anycolor handles it. using the same product lines/companies and just putting a different image on it is probably cheaper and easier to manage than getting custom plushies and shit.

Already? The gen 1 people are still there, so I'm surprised they pulled a gen 2 before their main debut. It's a lot more people too; I'm guessing gen 1 was more of a test sample, and the whole process (teaching, streams, main roster debut of Ranunculus) went so smoothly on their end that they're going full steam ahead.

As a quick reminder, Virtual Talent Academy is Anycover/Nijisanji's take on a JP talent school, like Yoshimoto (top comedy agency in Japan)'s New Star Creation, or those schools for idols. They take people with zero experience, cover their tuition/equipment/etc., give them a plain PNGtuber design, and have them train/study in the studio, one of those things being a weekly relay where they stream about a certain subject for 30 minutes each.

Single relay clearly won't work with a group this big, so I guess they'll split it up. Then, when they're ready, they can either stay with Niji, where they get a main roster debut with a redesigned full model based on their VTA look, or go somewhere else with education from a leading corpo on their track record. One group came out of it so far, that being Ranunculus.

The concept feels cool in my opinion, and getting to see a performer develop from scratch until they debut with an evolved look seems awesome, like with New Japan Pro Wrestling's young lion system. Not sure about gen 2's size, especially when not everyone from gen 1 has debuted yet, but I guess you just can't say ACCELERATE without Anycolor's AC. @Scuttle did mention that Anycolor patented the name VOLTACTION a week after Ranunculus, so maybe that'll be the gen 1 people?

Might just be a matter of them going simple until they have the international notoriety/connections to do more elaborate merch outside of Japan. I mean, NijiJP gets their own wine, so it's not like AC just can't do it or think of anything. Luxiem did get some of that JP-styled merch, so it might be testing waters with their main moneymaker.

Odds are Pomu and Pinkii. She talked about not really having many close friends in the US outside of 'one or two' during her stream on Saturday as well as alluding to what's started with the Poptart stream. It prompted her to talk about how there were a bunch of people she hadn't talked to in years who suddenly started reaching out to her 'for some reason' a year/year and a half ago and she honestly did seem pretty jaded/defensive about getting used.

Speaking of milestones Kobo reached 800k in under 3 months. Seems like she will over take Chloe soon (did already overtook Laplus). It's crazy that an ID member can compete with such a JP heavyweight.

One thing that people forget or just omit when numberfagging Kobo is the fact that Kobo is not HoloJP and HoloEN, she's a Holo Indonesia. You know, the branch that people thought was just a small guinea pig branch. Now she's pulling numnumber that rivals her JP Senpais by mostly only appealing on Infonesian audience, proving that it is actually possible to find success (and numbers) in the country

Not to sound like a partypooper today of all the days, but dont you think that Kanaruru videos are ... way too crowded and chaotic (as in many details & easter eggs in every frame) thats its hard to enjoy it at its fullest?. Even if he focused today on only hololive, it felt that there was too much distractions compared to the regular JP holo concerts.

Maybe its just me that i dont like Kanaruru videos so much, i know he is fast to animate things with the mocap and presets which its awesome, but the abuse of raytracing & nice graphics at the cost of a lower video framerate doesnt sell for me. That and mixing every vtuber in existance on his videos because "Unity" (it feels that its the extreme opposite of tribalism and extremes aint good), like feeding the idea that every corpo & indie vtuber happily hold hands in a circle when the reality its way different (specially with corpos), they just mind their own business.

It seems like we might have underestimated how massive and mainstream a force Kobo is in Indonesia now. Found this video of an Indonesian convention(?). Shit tons of non-VTuber fans singing along Mantra Hujan, She truly is the savior of Indonesia.

I found the event (the term Indonesian weebs use for convention), it's in Jakarta. Its a small one, so not many people attend it. But, for this level of enthusiasm, the songs used are usually either widely popular song from anime of the season, or widely beloved nostalgia song. So the fact that they used Kobo's song (which is in Indonesian) means that she has reached a widespread level of popularity comparable to Digimon's Butterfly
