In this case, I believe it was the right thing to do specifically because she didn't act like a turboautist like other vtubers do when they catch shit. Even Towa went full retard and thought the best thing to do was outright lie by saying it was a cover manager, which would then make Cover complicit in her lie. She should have just told the truth that it was one of her friends and moved on. The girl that got raked over the coals for saying nigger should have definitely just ignored it, but she addressed it in the worst way by groveling to the puritanical sjw crowd.
La+ on the other hand essentially just came out and said, "You people shut the fuck up, it doesn't matter who I'm friends with or play games with with, but just so you know, it was my roommate, who is a girl," and then that roommate came out and talked to confirm it. Now, real fat rrats could spin up that she could have just gotten a female to cover for her today, but the majority of your fans are not that paranoid, and 99% probably don't care. This action will seriously cut down on those boyfriend posters that were shitting up the chat because they've been sufficiently btfo'd by her proof, and the ones that remain will slink off to 5ch or wherever they gather these days and seethe there. That's just my opinion though.

But like Tako said, I'm not that sure of Kiara's ability to play smash. Could be hilarious or painful, unless I'm totally wrong and she secretly a pro.

That was based as fuck. I didn't consider it but it must fuck with some people if they have issues with loneliness (like Marine is known to) and then people could just assume they have someone, making them feel even worse about being alone.

I think it's better to address it instead of ignoring it, it happened once and it will likely happen again with her friend living there, aside from fucking with her it also fucks with her roommate. Even if people aren't convinced, she pretty much told them to fuck off in the most polite way if they are going to freak out about random bumps, the comment about how she would just say she has a BF was also a nice touch. You could be cynical and say she would deny ever dating, but saying "even if I had a BF I would just say so" pretty much kills the GFE bullshit as she makes it clear she isn't opposed to dating, instead of staying single for the viewer.

In another example of the girls being based, Suisei deliberately avoided sexualising her character so viewers would follow her for her talent not her tits.
She even had jiggle physics removed from 3D for the same reason.

Given the suiseggs memes, not sure if it would be considered a win she has that much pull despite not being overtly sexual, or a lose since she wanted to avoid that.

My heart stopped when chat brought up Chris-chan as she was using the CWC program and she started asking questions. Thankfully they dissuaded her from looking it up, hopefully.

By the way her nerdgasming over that animated GIF sampler CD was adorable as fuck.

From all the usual animations we get from various channels, this guy is quite up there for me. The cute sort of styling really sells it and you can tell the effort has been put in.

Anyway, seeing Subaru being enlightened by a simple Pop Tart is something to behold.
