I am def. curious as to how their 'flu' wasn't discovered to be Covid-19 until after the first request for delay was filed, considering that a rapid antigen test is automatically the first thing done for any 'influenza' case or any other respiratory illness that pops up. Go to any walk in medical clinic here in the US & First thing they do is pop out the instant covid test to automatically see if it's the flu or the Koof.

I found that fact of " lawyers got the flu" very fishy at the start.

i personally cannot fathom two lawyers being unable to craft a response for this long, and this many excuses, without them being able to craft a response at all. unless these symptoms have made them bedridden, any lawyer worth their salt would have been able to do SOMETHING, and he has TWO.

That being said, they have to be careful. Russ fucked up majorly on the lower level, and raising some of the issues on appeal could find them sanctioned due to how clearly meritless they are (defamation claims against Null being the one thing they have to be most careful about)

They've taken on an impossible task. They have to argue Russell's case, but without being able to bring up new evidence or arguments, and also without using the same argument's Russell made. If I'm following this all correctly, they have to prove that either:

A. Null did in fact infringe on Russell's copyright, again, without using new arguments or evidence, or...
B. The court was wrong and then explain why.

This is why they should have done their homework, because an appeal is not you remaking your argument or bringing up new evidence. An appeal is you saying that the judge was wrong and misapplying the law (she wasn't) or that something was overlooked or missed in the original judgement (there wasn't).

They're taking forever because Russell doesn't have a case, and they, being lolcows themselves, didn't even bother to check the actual case before accepting it, and now they can't get out of it.

Shackling is too good for the lawyer that stopped Russ from getting the short, sharp shock that might have put the brakes on his insanity.
