Related to Appalachia, there is a documentary from PennState called Darlene Chronicles (Secondary link with less "clutter" here) -- if you've enjoyed those others you may like this. There is also a 2020 update as well, and the user RUNNING INTO HISTORY also searches for the home some years on.

- I’m not sure if it’s no one has mentioned because it was so popular, but Hillbilly Elegy (On Netflix) was one of my favorites. I didnt even recognize Glenn Close playing in at first due to them doing her makeup so well.

I am from Appalachia, and my mother’s upward-mobility to a middle class lifestyle allowed me to not end up in the Appalachian version of the Sammyverse Cast. I have first cousins and close family I barely know due to the different lifestyles that have developed from our differences.

- Also I’m sure it’s been mentioned here, but Soft White Underbelly returned to the Inbred Whittaker’s in Spring of 2022. I haven’t seen it yet, but I’m about to watch

- For the people who prefer to read, feel free to check out the Wikipedia page on The Southern Renaissance. Its the literature of the south during the 1920s and 1940s. This is where also of these inbreds come from.

- Last, but definitely not least, for you guys who want to see the dumbest things our people do in Appalachia: check out the documentaries on the churches that dance with rattlesnakes. Many have died for obvious reasons, but they interpret a verse as believing god wants us to dance with snakes (See: Snake Handling in Christianity)

Knowing people like Kim and Dalton jumping in the community pool when it’s been 90 for the past week and they haven’t showered…..i keep the water out of my eyes and mouth and shower immediately afterwards.
These nasty asses ruin things for everyone, there’s not enough pool chemicals for that without stripping skin.

That just reminded me of living in ghetto apartments and using the pool. We would always try to use it right after maintenance had just clean it because it would get so gross and weird crap would be floating in it. I think the grossest thing I saw was a chunk of someone’s dreadlock and a cigarette butt. Fun times.

I love how Kim doesn’t even hide the fact she is cheating lol. I wonder what happened with her countdown for little Aiden?
