This is an interesting step to take because even Democrats aren't all on board with it. Pelosi I think has been against it in the past and she sounded pretty unenthusiastic when asked about it today. Rep. Peter DeFazio (chair of the House Transporation Committee) is also opposed.

No, agriculture in general. Tilled fields are impossible to hide, and impossible to carry with you. The static nature of fields makes farming communities vulnerable.

You are using the internet. That means you're so close to modern infrastructure that you will not be able to hide. Farmers couldn't hide from the Bolsheviks, and they won't be able to hide from Washington.

I think it depends. Where I live, 4 Mounties police 2000 square miles. They are severely outgunned and basically leave everyone alone, other than farming drivers for speeding fines and breaking up public fights and the odd bit of domestic violence. The Mounties are having a terrible time recruiting.

They used to be a lot more integrated into the community but old school conservative farmers hate them now and few people report their neighbors like they might have in times past.

Canada has no military to speak of. We just sent our materiel to Ukraine and barely have enough to attend to our “defense” needs. What soldiers we have come from the hinterlands.

There are 8 million official guns, mostly in the hands of the rednecks the government despises.

Where I live the people are very close knit. Unlike the olden days, the bolsheviks are the same useless bugmen who can only function online. They don’t even have drivers licenses and can’t own guns because they are scared their mental health problems will make them off themselves.

The attacks will be from everywhere the hive controls: paperwork, money, regulations, the internet. But once the microchips, food and gas stop, the people who can still survive in the physical world have an advantage on their home turf.

I hope none of it comes to pass and we can get back to “normal”.

There was a 10 cent county tax near me that went "on holiday", and literally the second day after repealing it gas was MORE expensive than 48 hours prior.

The average joe already has the restraint. The problem is that we never ask who wants the power and why.

I mean how many people vote based on party affiliation and campaign slogans in this country? We need to start watching those who aspire to positions of power more closely.
