I hate to sound like a tard here, but what's stopping people from ripping out or juryrigging the engines to work without DEF? Seems like a self-inflicted wound to me.
The increasingly dysfunctional and impotent government which is losing power and legitimacy with every passing day, of course.

My friend is a mechanic. His shop will bypass the DEF for $2500, they’ve apparently been doing these jobs for years as truck owners would do it for the fuel savings.

I assume it’s illegal but he was pretty nonchalant about it when we were chatting.
A unexpected side effect of throwing the economy in the shitter. More people will find ways to make extra money by bypassing whatever useless regulations Biden implements on the US.

If they cared about gas prices they would let people drill. They won't.

When do you guys start to consider the destruction is on purpose and it's not just them being stupid?
That will only take affect in the future. They want an immediate fix. And even if Biden gave the okay to open the drilling permit floodgates, companies are gunshy about doing so. The admin is gonna have to incentivize drilling in America.

Additionally, because electric cars don't pay gas tax, several state governments have proposed a mileage tax instead, but since they want to be "fair" and only tax miles driven within their state, they are looking at installing tracking devices in every car, supposedly just to track only the miles driven within the registered state.
The state I'm in already increases the registration fee, slightly for more fuel efficient vehicles and significantly for electric vehicles. I'm not sure the $75 or so per year covers the loss of fuel taxes for the state or not.

Oh shut the fuck up, Colbert! You said nothing when Kavanaugh hearing were disrupted by protestors storming the Capitol or when a would-be assassin showed up at Kavanaugh's home.

Tucker has been doing a good job at covering him lol.

People really need to be a bit more careful when talking with strangers. Veritas got John Curtis's campaign field director to say a bit too much and just dropped it about a week ahead of the Utah primary:

Utah really has a giant RINO problem since they got Mitt the Twit and whoever is the current RINO governor over there.

But really tired of all of these luckwarm cucks lol that the Democrats have no issue usually get rid of their DINOs or sniffing them out.

The last governor was a RINO too.

"Mumbai" Mike Lee is getting primaried just because he isn't that much of a RINO to the Mormons; he's meh, but "far-right" of Romney.

Ruby red state and it's run by that liberal, fag-loving Republican governor, Spencer Cox. Nelson Rockefeller must be co-opting his soul.

I’m thinking we will see more anarchy as people have to choose between following rules and surviving. There’s already an underground economy, it’s just going to grow. They are going to try to stop it with digital currency. We shall see.

As the truckers show, all the automation plans in the world won’t get food produced and into the bug hive, and it’s not even close yet.

It’s a good time to have real-world skills right now. I joke that we have a network of blue collar friends, and play Trades Bingo. We all help each other out with projects and money doesn’t change hands.

You can't farm underground. Agriculture has always been extremely easy for governments to control because you can't hide farms or ship grain without access to government roads.

Agriculture that produces a surplus that other people can use, yes.

On the very land I am sitting on, five generations of my family used mixed farming to feed themselves. As they built capital and technology improved they were able to feed more people than lived on the farm- arguably that was more of a benefit to the cities. We can always go back to feeding ourselves and trading with a few neighbors. What are the cities going to do? The average bugman doesn’t even know where they should go to plunder once the grocery store is empty.

Subsistence farming suuuuucks and people leave it as soon as possible, but at least if you are out of the city you have a chance.

None of this is good. I am in favor of the nice cushy modern life we’ve built up. And there’s no good reason it all has to fall apart.
