US California Megathread - The thread dedicated to America's largest open air insane asylum

The official state flag of California as presented below.

To get a decent idea of the typical California, here is a thread dedicated to one.

Taylor Lorenz

Bill Maher keeps on insisting that the nation follows California, till Florida upstaged them, leading to a lot of butthurt by Californian moonbats and libtards and libcucks against DeSantis and Florida Man and Florida Woman. California also lost Joe Rogan, who decided to move to the Californian colony of Austin in Texas while Benny Boy from the Daily Wire ran to Tennessee.

Since there is so much news dedicated to California like the Warriors winning the NBA finals and the LA Rams winning the Super bowl, it leads to super smugness summed up in the meme below while the rest of the state resembles a third world shithole more than some 1st world West European nation that the liberals of California are obsessed with.

1644807705203.jpg

Might as well make a mega thread about the state, since everyone knows the drill over California doing whatever California does. And then tries to export it across the nation and shuns those that don't accept its "gift" of pozz.

Even recall candidate Larry Elder doesn't sugarcoat how much retarded the state still is.

Here are some threads that deal with California's dedication to wanting to dominate the other 49 states with their cancer, running away from their problems, destroying the 2A, spreading shitlib faggotry and actual faggotry.

And many more stories coming out of the Golden State for this work in progress.

The Golden State founded by racist white devils looking for gold, is in the current era filled with folks that believe the darkies deserve reparations for being slaves in California, never mind that California joined the Union as a free state during the Civil War. It is the home of Big Tech because of silicon valley but also started the sanctuary state meme for illegals despite trying to stop giving gibs to illegals in the 1990s but some kike judge overturned the will of the Californian. The same situation would repeat for faggots being able to marry, as it was banned by a proposition and the state government of California with butthurt faggots in San Francisco sued to get it overturned by the State Supreme Court of California. Apparently niggers don't like faggots but faggots also still simp for niggers.

Recently many slant eyes, whose younger folks are very pozzed, are being attacked by niggers and the response is to blame "white supremacy" since their own politicians are race traitors who obey the white liberal once they get elected, as the recent proposition to destroy the Californian Civil Rights Act showed but failed.

Joggers being raycist against Asians megathread

Californians through ballot propositions hate tax increases but will always vote in Democrats who increase it anyways while screwing up everything else as well. The state is a giant liberal bubble that can sadly skew the reality of many people. Its like being an alternative version of the United States where Fox News never existed.

California up until the 1990s was seen as the best state to emulate and live in, and now is just coasting off that reputation while many of its residents slowly realize that the California they knew is gone. California is now currently home to many American hating, freedom hating, gun hating, nigger loving and faggotry obsessed subhumans thanks to cities like San Francisco and Los Angeles and Berkeley and Sacramento.

California used to be a strong Republican state till Ronnie Raygun decided to give amnesty to many illegal wetbacks, as a result California has never gone back. But has gotten overall more blue, which leads to strong butthurt from leftoids whenever a Republican wins the electoral college but not the popular vote in federal elections.

There has been exodus from the Golden State which led to California losing 1 seat so far in the electoral college, but time will tell if it lowers those popular votes for the Democrats in general elections as well. But the conservative exodus might have strengthened other red states as well to some extent.

California has given America the following politicians, that always make the headlines and some are also shot callers within the party, since the California representation is the largest within the Democratic Party. The only thing more liberal than California is Twitter, however Californian politicians believe their constituency is Twitter and we are seeing the disaster by the Californian Democrats at the federal level because of this.

Lets go through a brief summary of many top politicians from California.

Like the current installed vice president of the United States hired because Biden wanted a black woman and just a black woman to be his running mate.

And here is the farms megathread dedicated to a woman that succeeded in politics and broke many glass ceilings thanks to the power of the casting couch.

Kamala Harris Megathread

There is the gun hating former California AG known as Xavier Becerra, who succeeded Kamala Harris when she became a senator, who became new secretary for HHS.

HHS_Xavier_Becerra.jpg

There is the current governor of California known as Gavin Newsom, who has become emboldened after the failed recall and why California deserves its fate of misery. Also is the nephew of a certain someone about to be mentioned down below at the end.

Gavin_Newsom_by_Gage_Skidmore.jpg

Here is the smug fuckface named Eric Swalwell, who has no problems farting in public or sleeping with Chinese Commie honeypots or wanting to nuke American gun owners who own the AR-15 and also shows violent footage of mass shootings to his young daughter as well for social media asspats.

Eric_Swalwell_114th_official_photo.jpg

There is this pajeet progtard grifter known as Ro Khanna, who pretends to be for the "working man" when he isn't. How could he be since he was elected in one of the most richest zip codes in America where Silicon Valley is based.

Ro_Khanna,_official_portrait,_115th_Congress.jpg

There is this gun hating chink known as Ted Lieu, who loves to open his big mouth every now and then. And proof of why repealing the Chinese Exclusion Act was a mistake.

Congressman_Ted_W._Lieu_Official_Photo.jpg

Here we got Adam Schiff, a lying kike who has a huge case of TDS and one of the main co founders and writers for the show trial and heavily promoted reality TV show known as the January 6th committee.

Adam_Schiff_official_portrait.jpg

Here is Maxine Waters, the black female version of Al Sharpton and who has even encouraged violence on camera against political opponents before, during and after the 2020 BLM Summer of Love.

Congresswoman_Waters_official_photo.jpg

And then we got Nancy Pelosi, who well is proof over why the Bible is against female political leaders to keep it simple, I mean her rap sheet is the longest and more deserving of a thread than Kamala Harris.

Official_photo_of_Speaker_Nancy_Pelosi_in_2019.jpg

To end on a final note, there is this useless faggot, whose name we don't even need to be concerned with, bunks with ugly fucks like Frank Luntz (just google it and then get eye bleach).

As an Oregonian, coping about how California is worse than Oregon is the only method by which I get by.

Now, onto the cringe where California's government got scammed for ~500 dollars/Californian during the coof. Yes, that's right, if you're a Californian and you pay your taxes, your state government lost you (likely in excess of) five hundred dollars by people defrauding their unemployment program after they forced businesses to close.

Article | Archive
California officials have recovered $1.1 billion in unemployment insurance funds amid an ongoing investigation into widespread pandemic-related fraud, authorities said Tuesday.

Most of the money, on about 780,000 inactivated benefit cards, will be turned over to the federal government because the claims went through the emergency Pandemic Unemployment Assistance program, according to a statement from Gov. Gavin Newsom’s office.
“Fraudsters and criminal organizations ripped off California, along with every other state, during one of the worst crises in history,” Newsom said. “We’re taking aggressive action to return that money to the taxpayers.”

The California Employment Development Department was overwhelmed with unemployment benefits applications at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic after Newsom issued the nation’s first statewide stay-at-home order, which forced many businesses to close.

Since then, the agency received at least 26.4 million claims and paid $180 billion in benefits. But about $20 billion of those payments went to scammers who posed as prison inmates — or, in one instance, faked being Sen. Dianne Feinstein — to fool state officials into sending them checks.

In Tuesday’s announcement, state officials reported 1,525 cases investigated, 467 arrests, 162 convictions and $3.47 million seized in the last 15 months.

McGregor Scott, a former federal prosecutor, was hired in July as a special counsel to aid in the investigations.

Scott, who was the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of California until he stepped down last year, led a task force of state prosecutors that announced an investigation into unemployment fraud in November 2020.

The probe was launched by Scott and nine county prosecutors after they found evidence that thousands of fraudulent claims for unemployment benefits were filed in the names of California prison inmates, including some on death row.
“We will continue working with law enforcement to put fraudsters behind bars and recover every stolen dollar that we can,” Scott said in a statement Tuesday.

The EDD has been strained by widespread fraud and a backlog of payments during the pandemic; this year, Rita Saenz stepped down as director after just over a year on the job. She was replaced by Nancy Farias, a deputy director at the department since 2020.

Newsom’s office said state officials have taken steps to limit fraud, including stopping more than $125 billion in attempted fraud through an identity verification system that was implemented in 2020 and partnering with Thomson Reuters to help detect and prevent suspicious activity. State officials also set up a call center to help victims of identity theft deal with tax-related questions and have been working with Bank of America to issue chip-enabled debit cards, according to Tuesday’s statement.

Other efforts include working with the Fraud Task Force at the state Office of Emergency Services on more than 1,000 active investigations, arrests and prosecutions across California; creating investigative guides for law enforcement and offering technical assistance to investigators; and issuing scam alerts throughout the pandemic to warn the public about cellphone and email phishing schemes that aim to steal personal information.

The fake unemployment claims and backlog of legitimate claims drew national attention during the pandemic and led to a wave of new funding to hire additional staff and modernize systems to detect fraud.

I've forced my fellow Californians to defend this asshole and its obvious they've never heard of his SB239 or SB145. Californians act intelligent but it's obvious many don't know who their city or state reps are
Come on, give us the scoop. I know nothing of your state's politics aside from that they're retarded.

SB239 prevent a person from facing criminal liability for not disclosing an STD and giving it to your partner
SB145 a judge has the discretion to not put somebody on the sex registry for having sex with a minor that are within 10 year's of each other

California has recovered more than $1 billion in fraudulently paid unemployment claims
BY ANDREW SHEELER UPDATED JUNE 21, 2022 4:32 PM

The California Employment Development Department (EDD) has recovered $1.1 billion in fraudulent payments from federal COVID relief programs, Gov. Gavin Newsom’s office announced Tuesday.

The funds were found on approximately 780,000 inactivated benefit cards. Most of the money belongs to the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance program (PUA), the primary target of fraud nationwide, according to a statement from Newsom’s office.

EDD is responsible for processing unemployment claims, as well as disability insurance and paid family leave claims. During the pandemic, the agency was overwhelmed with unemployment applications, resulting in many fraudulent payments going out.

The state has been dealing with massive unemployment fraud since the COVID-19 pandemic began in March 2020. PUA was intended for those who did not qualify for traditional unemployment, such as independent contractors.

An estimated $20 billion has been lost to fraudulent California claims, according to EDD estimates. All but $1.3 billion of that total involved claims from PUA and other federally-funded COVID relief programs, which ended last year.

Nearly a year ago, California hired former federal prosecutor McGregor Scott to serve as EDD fraud special counsel, where he would oversee the state’s work with law enforcement in prosecuting fraudulent claimants.

“We will continue working with law enforcement to put fraudsters behind bars and recover every stolen dollar that we can,” Scott said in a statement.

According to Newsom’s office, within the past 15 months, there have been more than 1,500 investigations, leading to 467 arrests, 162 convictions and the seizure of more than $3.4 million.

More than 20 million people filed more than 60 million unemployment, disability insurance and paid family leave claims over the past decade, according to Newsom’s office.

“EDD prepared, printed and mailed 45 million documents to customers through the most recent fiscal quarters. EDD was mailing nearly 600,000 documents a day during the height of the pandemic,” the statement said.

Is it actually worse this year than the previous? The news has been weird about reporting the water shortage worsening but not spelling doom and gloom.
It's gotten bad to the point where they're starting to enforce the rules regarding usage. Not sure how bad it is, but having more people who don't follow the rules does screw us. When I worked in a town with lots of illegals many just throw their trash out of their cars. As bad as niggers in that regards though I do occasionally see an old Mexican lady going through the trash to get a few cans.

Yeah it was too dry so I tried to improve it a bit better and will add more links for many of the folks mentioned now as well as organize the main culture war issues that California is involved in.

There is always room for improvement.

The local news TV channels usually never cover stuff like this since I guess they know the reaction.

They lie about omission a lot though and heavily obsessed with anything that a Republican state or outside Republican politician does though.

Plus the news anchors act and look like cunts as well.

Not exactly new, but Scott Weiner was the one who decriminalized spreading HIV to a misdemeanor.

A law that makes it a felony to knowingly expose another person to HIV by having unprotected sex with them without disclosing one's positive HIV status is being targeted by State Senator and former Castro Supervisor Scott Wiener along with other lawmakers in Sacramento who see the felony designation for that action as outdated and counterproductive.

"These laws — passed at the height of AIDS hysteria — treat HIV-positive people as criminals just for having sex, even without risk of transmission," writes Wiener to his Facebook page. They treat HIV more harshly than all other dangerous infectious diseases. HIV is a health problem, not a criminal problem. Our laws should reflect that reality."

The LA Times reports that Wiener wrote the bill, SB 239, with House Assembly Members David Chiu of San Francisco, Todd Gloria of San Diego, and Susan Eggman of Stockton. The law would reduce what's now a felony to a misdemeanor. There have been 357 convictions for the HIV-specific felony since 1988 and 2014 per a UCLA School of Law study cited by the LA Times. The majority of convictions involved sex work.

“Current state law related to those living with HIV is unfair because it is based on the fear and ignorance of a bygone era,” the LA Times quotes Gloria. Medical advances allow 18.2 million people to live their lives as HIV positive, and medicines such as PrEP, a drug Wiener said he takes in 2014, can prevent contracting HIV from unprotected sex with an HIV positive person. "With this legislation, California takes an important step to update our laws to reflect the medical advances which no longer make a positive diagnosis equal to a death sentence," Gloria concluded.

Also something that has changed since the original law was passed is the success of HIV medications that effectively make those infected unable to transmit the disease and with "undetectable" viral loads.

State Senator Jeff Stone, a republican from Murrieta, opposes Wiener's bill. “HIV/AIDS remains a deadly disease,” Stone, who is a pharmacist, said in a statement obtained by the LA Times. “Existing law provides accountability of those engaging in unprotected, risky behavior that endangers the life of another."

To provide one example of the burden the current aw places on HIV-positive people, Nestor Rogel, a 26-year-old who was born HIV-positive. “I feel that I have to work extra hard in these [dating] situations, and it’s hard to tell what the right action even is,” Rogel tells the Sacramento Bee. “And needing to do that is based on outdated conceptions about HIV and HIV transmission. But it’s still the current law.”

I decided to link @Meat Target 's Taylor Lorenz thread lol.

On another note, some of the Democrats are looking at Gavin Newsom being the future president for America.

Gavin Newsom should be Democrats’ replacement for Biden, top Dem strategist suggests (Archive)

California Gov. Gavin Newsom may be the Democratic Party's strongest choice to run for president if President Joe Biden bows out, longtime party strategist David Axelrod says.

Axelrod, who served as former President Barack Obama's chief strategist, made the comments in a Wednesday statement to The New York Times. The 2024 presidential race has been a burning question for Democrats, with no clear heir to Biden and many party members skeptical of whether the president could or should run for a second term.

"If the president were not to run, it’s hard to imagine that Newsom would not be sorely tempted to enter the race," Axelrod said Wednesday.

"Newsom is young and politically muscular, which may be just what the market will be seeking post-Biden," he added.

Rumblings of Newsom's prospects come as Democrats are increasingly abandoning hopes that Biden could run in 2024.

"Democrats need fresh, bold leadership for the 2024 presidential race. That can’t be Biden," lawyer and Democratic National Committee member Shelia Huggins told NYT last week.

"I need an equivalent of Ron DeSantis, a Democrat, but not a 70- or 80-year-old – a younger person," Alex Wyshyvanuk, a 33-year-old data analyst from Annapolis, Maryland, told NYT. "Someone who knows what worked for you in 1980 is not going to work for you in 2022 or 2024."

DeSantis, the Republican governor of Florida, is 43 years old. Newsom is 54.

Biden's poll numbers echo the loss of confidence from his party, with his administration's approval ratings consistently hitting new lows over the past 12 months.

Some stars within the Democratic Party are already appearing to break with Biden ahead of the midterms and 2024. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-NY, refused to say if she would vote for the president in 2024 in a recent appearance on CNN.

"You know, I think we should endorse when we get to it," Ocasio-Cortez told CNN host Dana Bash. "I believe that the president has been doing a very good job so far. And, you know, should he run again? I think that I… you know, I think it's … we'll take a look at it."

Living in CA, would say the inland part of the state isn't bad. Far more conservative than the coast. The coast, from Marin County to the border, is truly the world's largest open-air insane asylum, with many individual exceptions. Root problem is the coastal crazies outnumber us normal people enough to keep voting these evil fucks into office. That's why I keep buying those lottery tickets, to get the fuck out of this place and live more freely, while I am still young enough to do so.

The central/northern Sacramento Valley is also pretty conservative, not counting Sacramento itself. From say, Stockton to the Oregon border is pretty red.
And if it wasn't for our elderly parents, we would've left several years ago.
I will miss day trips to Fort Bragg and Mendocino, but this state has gone absolutely batshit crazy.
