In my friend group I'm the guy who has just random ass movies gathered from all over the place so I felt it natural that I would own something called Sylvie and the Wogglebug. It has such shit animation and wild editing that I couldn't help but finish it lmao. I was laughing so hard.
My roommates even came out and watched bits of it. We all just kinda sat there with our jaws wide open.
In light of this, just so you all know, one of my other friends (this one I've known since 2006) who is a big fan of my Wogglebug series but has good eyes for spotting animation errors has made lists of them for all three movies. The first movie has three pages and the next two have two each. It took her about eight hours total. And she did it for free. You'll also be pleased to know I've lately been able to purchase the latest upgrade to my animation program, and some additional new content for it. It has the tools I need to make most of the corrections my friend listed for me. It has a thing called Motion Director which makes the walking cycles look more natural. And I've watched the tutorials on how to undo clipping with characters in interacting with anything. And it has a huge collection of facial expressions that will make the characters more lifelike also.

While the errors in animation haven't stopped the people who are meant to be my true fans from loving the first three movies, I want to fix the errors in animation and make touch-ups to what is already good to at least have a better chance at being accepted into film festivals this and next year. As I read that among other reasons why you could be rejected in submitting to them is if your film still has technical issues to it that are unfixed.

Sincerely, good on you for acknowledging you have problems with your vids and are working to improve them.

Can I gently suggest for future projects (I know you can't basically remake the whole movies!) you change camera angle more often? Maybe even with every line of dialogue. Watch any kids cartoon, you'll see how often the cameras change.

Did you have any clue that Sylvia was a cavewoman before you got to this thread? Dunno if you saw any of her woggle-vlogs before you found this thread. Welcome aboard, btw!
Nope! This has all been eye-opening. I knew that the trees on the cover were something I just had to see in motion so that's why I pulled the trigger on buying it. Sheer "What in the fuck could this be?".

It shipped wildly fast. I almost got whiplash from it lmao. When I got the package and saw that it was handwritten my brain went "Shit son, this is someone's heart and soul"

You can call the Wogglebug movies a lot of things but one thing they're not is insincere. My little gremlin brain kinda likes the world-building that is coated in and buried within all the wonky animation, sound editing, and regular editing. There are fantasy ideas that are inherently good I think at the very core of (at least) the first movie.

Now I just wanna see where the ride takes me lol. Gonna definitely follow this to the end. It's endlessly fascinating to me that this whole thing exists. Like, I guess she succeeded in bringing awareness of the Wogglebug to folks since, y'know, I'm here lol. Kind of weirdly impressive in a way

You have two more to watch: Incredible Adventure and Wisdom Keys. They are \ were uploaded to Cynthia's youtube channel.
Yep! They are sitting nicely on my "I need to watch these" pile of movies

Well, there you have it, @WogglebugLover ! You have made at least one genuine fan offsite of the Farms, (until now) and they're exactly the type of fan we told you to expect. One who admires your work for it's quirky batshit wierdness, rather then it's ability to captivate children and teach them about the misunderstood goodness of the Wogglebug.

It's NOT like he is my ONLY fan! And I DO in fact have a great deal of the kind of fans I always wanted and will continue to get more of those. Some don't have kids (such as the co-writer of my new Wogglebug web series) and some do. For instance I got contacted early this month via the contact form on my website by a young woman (who's name I won't reveal here ) who thanked me for what I do expressing how pleased she had been with the first movie which her brother had bought for the family after seeing an ad for it on TikTok and how her little cousin (who's name I also won't reveal here) had become a genuine Wogglebug fan and couldn't stop talking about him. She also went on to purchase the next two movies as a present for the little girl's birthday and also ordered my free gig of a birthday greeting card video message from Wogglebug for her which I of course made and sent on the day before the birthday.

I wish you would accept the fact I AM succeeding in my goals.

That's a matter of opinion. I mean if your goal is to reach a low level of internet fame then mission accomplished. If you honestly think that everybody that buys your movies is doing so because they like your work then you're still in denial.

As I told you before Cherie, a few dozen to a hundred fans is NOT success, not even close. Otherwise my best friend who has a YouTube channel that finally cracked 5k subs is a success. He knows perfectly well he has a LONG way to go, is now monetized to the tune of beer money every month, maybe a couple hundred dollars. A McDonalds fry jockey earns that in 2 days while my friend struggles 4 hours a night editing his videos to upload for his monthly earnings.

You continue to delude yourself. You COULD possibly succeed, but not the way you are doing it. You've been given reams of good advice here from professionals in the industry but keep on stubbornly beating your head against the wall trying to do it 'your way'. If sending out 50 DVDs every few months and operating at a loss is your definition of success, then shine on you crazy diamond.

Your logic is that of the little kid making a lemonade stand, gleefully selling cups of lemonade at $0.25 a cup and counting the money made, not thinking of the fact that your parents are supplying the sugar and lemons, you aren't outlaying the cost yourself.

Wake up. The money train WILL stop, sooner or later. Your mom can't fund you forever.

I wish you would accept the fact I AM succeeding in my goals.
Not an awful lot of Wogglebug on the ol WogglebugLove Productions YouTube of late...

Déjà vu anyone?
I mean only 1 in 15 uploads actually feature the bug himself in the past 3 months, not the best marketing of him on his own platform ngl.
Perhaps you should consider re-branding to Cynthia Hanson/Cherie Anne HapneyLove Productions...
Give the kids what they want? You vacantly talking about pre-orders and coupon codes ad nauseam?
Speaking of marketing, again, you should really consider making a video/ad that actually, you know, shows/advertises what the hell people are actually giving you money for, you know, the plushies, the product you are trying to sell them...
People generally more often than not like to know what they are purchasing, you know, through commercials...
Like are the Gollywoggle dolls identical to the one you own or are they made by a different manufacturer?
What is the overall quality of your product? Is it firm or soft? Is it machine washable? Is it flame retardant?
Is it going to fall apart the second it arrives? What does it look like?
Things like that..
You may even shift a couple more if you ever attempted to tailor/market the ads towards children just a little, who knows...

EDIT: So are they paper dolls or what @WogglebugLover?

If not I'd imagine that this as shown is a fairly inaccurate approximation of the final product...
Christ Cynthia have you not even seen the merchandise that you yourself are flogging?!
Did you order a prototype to see what you were getting from the company or did you just say fuck it something something Wogglebug?!
What a world...

She could compromise and still include herself as well Woggs by uploading a new episode of my favorite kind of content: the quite literally named 'The Talk Show.'
Have you read this thread? The lady doesn’t know the term compromise she either gets her way or else.
Also an 8 year old thread and Wogs still isn’t relevant. I bet it’s because of Covid. He’d be a star if it wasn’t for the damn chinks.

Why would a film festival accept a movie for babies?

Cynthia, I can tell you what you're going to get. You're going to get that exact image but faded, poorly silk screened on the front and back of two pieces of polyester. They'll be single seam switched together with the smallest amount of chemical scented polyester stuffing they can use to call it a plushie. Please do not spend your (Or more likely, your mothers) money on this shit. I said yes to the poll jokingly, as most of the people who responded probably did. No one is actually going to buy that AliExpress nightmare.

She should consider commissioning a Wogglebug rig and becoming a Vtuber. Having the 3d model to start with would probably help.

It's for the Razzies. They're looking for the worst examples of, what is essentially, film folk art. It's a palate cleanser and something that the people can watch at laugh at before announcing the new category of, "What the Hell Were They Thinking", that Cherie won it and they present her with the Golden Bed Bug as her prize.

But knowing her, she'd see it as a complement because she got a prize.

And that's part of what makes you such a great lolcow. Your boundless retardation ♥
The only ones she responds to are those that kiss her ass and tell her what a great artist she is. And because of her massive autism she thinks they're being True and Honest.

She should consider commissioning a Wogglebug rig and becoming a Vtuber. Having the 3d model to start with would probably help.
It would definitely be a step in the right direction but can she afford somebody on Fiverr to do it for her?
