Yeah, I didn't mention the Constitutional Amendment part as that would just be too hard to get passed as the hurdles are higher. For example, the ERA. Liberals don't have enough votes to get that through, nor do they have enough votes to get through a repeal of the 2A. Or a Constitutional right-to-choice.

Constitutional Amemdments are really hard to get through even in a time of relative bipartisanship, pretty much impossible when things are as divisive as they are now.

Oh I agree, but it does need pointed out if these things were to be as important to the left as they say..they would try.

Afterall EVERYONE is for common sense gun control and Abortion right?

Abortion is inherently selecting against people with enough personal responsibility to to get an abortion, but not enough responsibility to plan their pregnancies, aka average people. People who are retarded have kids anyway.

I really think the Dems expected this to happen. They never legislated abortion because it was too useful as a political carrot for their supporters. Now that it's gone they will use it as a golden goose for support in red and blue states.

I have some weird feeling that this isn't a decisive victory, and actually the beginning of another stage of this conflict that we don't fully understand yet. The way they Dems will use this event may prove to be a problem.

Perhaps they will order-66 and millions of a-political poor people who never gave a shit about elections will "mail in" their vote in red states next year, who knows? Blaming statistically improbable turnout on abortion may be the scapegoat they needed all along.

im amazed how people on both the left and right always default to some race based argument when 99% of the people against abortion so vehemently that it's their entire raison d'etre, are against it because they're religious.

the entire position is: "baby killing bad, simple as", something so simple that even atheists can agree with it.

racial angles make exactly zero sense no matter which way you approach it.
