It actually takes less. Your photos automatically have copyright protection from the moment they are taken (assuming you're in a country (almost all are) party to the Berne Convention). However, adding language or a symbol confirms to others that you do not give permission for them to use your image and serves as a warning that you may seek to enforce your rights/wishes. Basically that statement would make it easier to price infringement.

There are defenses such as fair use, etc., but on the front end using the (c) symbol or stating intent is to discourage republication, not something actually necessary to establish copyright.

There's more you could do if you anticipate or regularly litigate/are a public person, but in most cases it's not worth spending money on registration*, etc.

Keep in mind red states tend to have lots of poor people living in relatively rural areas, with little to no public transit. Some states also have plans to criminalize getting an abortion in another state.

It won't be as much of an issue for middle+ class women with reliable vehicles, but poor girls and women in red states are fucked.

I hope so, the problem is who's going to fund it, especially since burgerland doesn't have the same public transit infrastructure as Europe. I'm sure some stuff will exist, but I highly doubt it will have the resources to help everyone in need.

There are rumors that the Republican Party here in the US plans to ram through a nationwide federal ban on abortion if they win Congress with enough of a majority to override Biden’s veto. I don’t put it past them. The Democratic Party has refused to blow up the filibuster, which is a failsafe in place to prevent extreme legislation from any side from passing, but I suspect the Republicans will have no problem blowing it up if they think it will help them accomplish their goals.

I did have a peek at the A&H thread. As usual, the men on there don’t think this ruling will have any effect on their lives, that only “dangerhairs” have abortions. They have another thing coming. Women have been silent on the magnitude of this issue for far too long. Almost a million American women had abortions last year — the majority of them already have children, and many are already married. They don’t even inform their partners of their pregnancies because they fear their partner will demand they keep the child. Can we take care of a million excess pregnancies? A million children over the ones we’re already having? How many of these children will be babies with severe birth defects? What doctors and nurses will take care of them when we already have a shortage? Where will we get the money to care for them? The consequences of this decision will become obvious quite soon.

No, they don’t adopt those, because the majority of children in foster care are black and/or have special needs, which includes severe physical or psychological disabilities. Why deal with that mess when you can have a nice, clean, healthy white or white-passing baby?

There are some Christians who have adopted non-white children. John McCain was among them. His adopted daughter, who is of South Asian descent, was called his “secret black love child” during the presidential primary of 2008 as a way the good Christian members of his own party could disparage him. Other good Christians who have adopted children from Africa have subjected those children to extreme abuse, even worse than the physical and sexual abuse they already inflict on their own biological children, as detailed in the Quiverfull threads here on BP (for anyone not familiar with our board). Given these examples, I would prefer that God’s chosen kindly shut the fuck up about saving us all from abortion and groomers.
