I enjoyed Mummies Alive for what it was, but I can assure you the intro was the best part of it lol
Eh still my point stands the 90s was the last great decade to be a kid especially a boy. Between cowboys, dinosaurs, mummies, and transformers beast wars/machinesaking giant robots cool again coupled with the wild and wacky shows on Nick and cartoon network. It's kinda baffling why the kids who grew up in that decade ended up the way they did... A good chunk of them cows on this very forum.

Well OK not ALL of them, bit a good chunk of them did.

But enough doom and gloom here's another classic from What A Cartoon

You can definitely see the ren and stimpy influence on full display here. But what I love about this short is you can clearly see someone smoke a cigarette, there's a censored painting of a nude woman, and the guy is clearly a 60s era swinger/playboy type.

Again how is it people where making a better "adult " ren and stimpy years before the actual adult ren and stimpy? And keep in mind unlike the tales from the crypt series finale buy one get one free was still a short that had to stay within the standards and practices of 90s era cartoon network.

You can see why Xoomers are so jaded.

Millennials did have a lot to look forward to when it came to animation, for sure. I know I was spoiled for choice as a child. Just need to look harder nowadays to find the gems, I guess.

I was lucky to be an 80's kid when home video was new and a lot of older material was shoveled at us.

More of that Simpsons meme...

I watched it too, I felt while not as good as Do America, it was a good and enjoyable experience
The bit with they walk into the gender studies class was a funny bit
Especially when...
They get the wrong idea of what "white privilege" is all about.

This is why stuff like spy x family is super popular right now. They dont preach some politics to their audience and they tell a story to the viewers that they can follow and that allows said viewers to escape reality, even if it’s just a little. The cartoon above isn’t a show, it’s a preachy monologue made for mentally regressed manchildren that spend their lives on twitter and tumblr whining into the void about identity politics and « Muh lgbtq raiiiights!!!11!! » just like the user above. It’s just so tiring.
Exactly. Regular people don’t care politics or ideology, they want an entertaining story.

Kids don’t care about romance and school drama. Kids like action, adventure and comedy. They want to ride on dragons, they want to laugh at Daffy getting his beak blown off by Elmer.

People want to have fun. But these woke idiots don’t know the meaning of the word.

No surprise SHE likes this garbage.

For the record Raven (what I wouldn't give to have a real name and face dox) is a "mother" of two troons, thought I think they're step kids and one is "nonbinary. "
Hmmm a trans kid going into a land full of devils I wonder what could that allude to

You know, you're right.
But still, i can't fucking belive about people are really trying to escape reality with a fucking sitcom gay shit.
Throw me some ancient shonens or 80's/90's animu without pedoshit but not that crap.

Look, i'm gonna put this in a better context:
If spy x family is the only fucking thing worth in this year... c'mon, we're doomed in that part.
At this point desilusion & escapism are why media in general is so shit; not more new concepts, originality, and even mixing both. Nah, just remake a shit you liked when as a kid and get a move on or keep some lighthearted shit still going to don't make cry the viewers. Don't whinning at me later...

This sparks a memory.

Anyone else see 'Beavis and Butthead do the Universe'?

The animation was pretty good, but Titmouse was behind it, and they usually put out good work. The movie doesn't do anything groundbreaking and feels like a rehash of the first movie, but I don't think that's a bad thing, since I was expecting this movie to just be a longer version of an episode. The space training montage had me howling and there's a music drop near the end of the film that sets up a really good gag.

It's worth a watch if you liked the show, not sure if it's worth paying for a Paramount+ subscription.

I’m surprised daria didn’t make a cameo

That SheRa looks like Mama June in a halloween costume.

Yesterday storytime animator TheOdd1sout announced that he was doing a Netflix series and it... looks decent.
Oh who am I kidding, it's his artstyle and while simple, it's at least a little better than the bean mouth IMO.
Congrats to this guy on getting a show before Netflix's animation departments went to hell. I don't watch this guy but my friend saw him at Scribble Showdown (drawing show with Egoraptor, RubberRoss and Jaiden) and said he was great. He seems milquetoast enough to actually be wholesome fun for kids.

Politics has decimated modern cartoons. This entitlement is preposterous on every level.
Chatrooms, Forums and Social media giving every literally who(cares) a false sense of their opinions needing to be known to the masses at large was bound to have a negative impact on culture. People should really go back to writing their honest feelings down and hiding the pages or something.

Can confirm. My oldest nephew loved Gumball and Rise of the TMNT (said he liked it a little better than the 3D one). My youngest nephew started watching NuDucktales and I showed him a couple of classic episodes last time he was over my place (he loves Donald and the disney ducks). Neither of them liked SU at all.

There's lulz a-plenty in the realization the puritan genderfreaks of today were the rebellious goths of yesterday, whom would tell their future selves what they're making is gay and should kys.
