Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

I love how Obi-Wan actually left Vader alive. For real.

That means any horrible thing Vader does now is indirectly his fault.
And before someone has the guts of saying thats him being consistent with the Jedi doctrine or/and just the jedi mercy being its old stupid self...no, it isnt.

Obi-Wan's force ghost itself tells Luke that he shouldnt try to redeem Vader and to kill him. That shows he legit didnt want Vader to live. What? Did he want Luke to do instead of him so he wouldnt have to do it himself? Coward!

This whole scene is meant to make Obi-wan looks stronger but it makes him look weaker. He couldnt finish the job (continuity aside) even when he had Vader right there. It doesnt make him more noble, it makes him now a stupid weak moron that let this homicidal monster let and murder only got knows how many more innocents before suddenly telling said monster's son that NOW its time to kill him.

And again, I dont know if this incompetence is thanks to the writers's own or they want to destroy Obi-Wan completely. A mixture of both I assume.

"Where you go from here is up to you", aka, off you go to your solo series Reva, that many will tune in we are sure!

I legit expect the Reva series become the new Rian Johnson trilogy...in the "it is happening, any second now!" category when they have quietly but unnofficially killed the project

Or I dont know, seems like Kathy really wants it to happen so maybe it will, its clear this woman doesnt give a fuck and she knows where the sexslavechildren bodies are hidden soo she will never be fired.

I honestly feel almost like this grieving period within the fanbase, as if their last hopes were crushed after not even Kenobi were able to save this sinking ship of a brand.

Good! I hope this franchise gets (metaphorically) buried, bulldozed over, and the land turned into a strip mall. It'd be a better way to go than having it be like this.

“It seems in your anger, you killed her.”

By the films alone, Vader’s suffering is entirely his fault. He didn’t come back to Tatooine to save his mother in time, he lost his hand by charging in ahead to fight Count Dooku, he has had to hide a secret marriage and was going to have to handle how to raise his offspring, he attacked Mace Windu which led to his death, murdered friends and children, killed his wife out of anger, forced into a cybernetic suit due to critical wounds he received on Mustafar by not having the high ground.

While Palpatine is the puppetmaster of Vader’s life, I pointed out that he’s also the closest thing to a friend the Vader still has. Even if he could, Vader can’t kill Palpatine because he would truly be alone in the galaxy.

And he does believe that the Empire is a better alternative for the galaxy, that the Republic’s transformation into the Empire is saving it. He has been twisted by the Dark Side to the point where he finds the enslavement he suffered under to be a just punishment for rebels.
I feel like Anakin's situation in ROTS is how Vader explained his situation to Luke. When he got Mace killed, there was no going back, only forward. But he could still salvage this, save the ones he loved and maybe sort the galaxy out by usurping Palpatine after Padme was secured. When he lost his only reason for going down this path and was mutilated into a shell of his former self, he gave up. There was no salvaging anything anymore, he was stuck on this path, a path he even knew ended with him getting killed and replaced, all he can do is follow it to it's conclusion until Luke convinces him otherwise. His Vader persona is basically him on auto-pilot while having small bumps in the road that made Anakin stir.

Darth Talon was going to be his apprentice iirc
According to Wookieepedo
George Lucas originally planned to feature Darth Maul and Darth Talon as the main villains of the Star Wars sequel trilogy,[42] an idea he developed while preparing the films in 2012 before selling Lucasfilm Ltd. to The Walt Disney Company.[43] Talon was written as the aged Maul's apprentice, with Lucas later saying "She was the new Darth Vader, and most of the action was with her."[29] Early story treatments had her corrupting the son of Han Solo and Leia Organa,[44] but her character later evolved into a "Jedi Killer" that ultimately became the character of Kylo Ren.[45] According to Pablo Hidalgo of the Lucasfilm Story Group, "The Jedi Killer morphed from Talon corrupting the son to becoming the son,"[44] and Lucasfilm's Phil Szostak has called Talon "just one stop of many on the road to Kylo Ren."[46]
Well considering how Reva turned out it's a good thing she never showed up in Disney Wars. This makes even more sense than having Han and Leia's son be evil because he was groomed by his ugly alien mentor/lover he's an emo 30 year old and hates his parents. Maul was great in TPM and he was wasted in the PT (like every villain in the PT other than Sheev) but I still feel him coming back is kind of dumb.
She was to sexy to live :' (

Im scrathing my head here as to what he means i have read the book once and listened to it on audible several times. Does he mean how Kenobi kept trying talking to Qui-gon but he wouldn't respond?
What bothers me the most is if you read the interviews with the people behind the Kenobi tv show they all read Millers novel and tought it was great. The director read it, Mcgregor read it and even Pablo read it everyone did except the lead writer.

I thought Kenobi was going to be a 6-episode miniseries and then he would retire again, but it appears the cow needs to give more milk before it gets the 12 gauge to the head treatment. The last episode was halfway decent, compared to the rest of the dumpster fire at least.

I'm calling it. They're gonna put Qui-Gon's Force ghost into Return of the Jedi's ending when they re-release it.

At some point Return is gonna be 5 minutes longer in running time, having Luke just stare at all the Force ghost projections.

-Obi's Episode IV speech about how "Vader killed Anakin" makes him look like a psychopath
Obi-Wan watched security footage of Anakin killing children and saw him nearly kill his wife. His last words to Obi-Wan after Obi-Wan expresses heartbreak at how he turned out is "I hate you!" The movie goes out of its way to make Anakin as unambiguously evil as possible. There was no loose end that needed to be tied for how Obi-Wan came to the conclusion that Vader killed Anakin's humanity.

But then you can't have make a serious about a fan favourite character being a vehicle for a bunch of new, diverse characters who are really the ones that matter whilst you milk the fans for all they're worth.

We all had our theories about how the show was going to break the continuity with stupid shit but they weren't even close to what they actually did. They gave Obi-Wan the galaxy trotting adventure and Boba Fett the show about sitting around on Tatooine. Every single employee at Lucasfilm has no idea what they're doing.

So I checked this out on YouTube.

And ignoring how dumb it is Vader loses to Kenobi here, and they know it's dumb because they have Vader call him master 10 years into Sidious being his master, the saddest part is the people doing the choreography clearly give no fucks. Then also give no fucks about the forms. There is no observable difference in how Obi fights vs Vader. Obi clearly isn't fighting the same way we've seen him fight in any movie.

Just sad man, just sad.

What a waste Darth Maul was. I know it has been beaten to death but he was literally just a cool design and that's it in TPM. He should have lasted until the third prequel movie and replaced Dooku and maybe Grevious as the primary antagonist with a ton of character development and confrontation by various Jedi before Obi-Wan finally beat him. Make him a real threat instead of a one off villain of the week.
