Could they actually, potentially, reverse that decision (weird since Thomas is married to a white woman) or would they just amend it a little considering the growing number of interracial relations today?
They *could* but they won't. For the same reason gay marriage won't be overturned, nobody is going to fight that either of those cases to the Supreme Court, even if they should be since they are bad law. So Clarance's matriage is safe and so is Dave Rubin'd and Elton John's.
I was talking to a woman about all of this and she just found it weird that they would reverse the decision on abortion but not contraceptives.
Yeah, that's my go to response for anyone IRL bitching about this. "Can I see you vaxx card/pass"
Laws that criminalize doing that exact thing.

Arkansas has a law called the "Arkansas Human Life Protection Act" that makes the act a felony homicide punishable with 3-10 years in jail and a fine of up to $100,000.
Alabama has the "2019 Human Life Protection Act" makes it a felony "for any person to intentionally perform or attempt to perform an abortion". Doctors who give abortions in Alabama face life in prison with the same conditions as first degree rapists.
Kentucky's trigger laws make the act a class D felony punishable by 1-5 years in jail.
Lousiana's trigger laws make the act punishable with prison time between 1 and 10 years and a fine between $10,000 to $100,000.
West Virginia's trigger law makes that punishable with 3 to 10 years prison time.

So if you want to leave a state to get an abortion, you sure as hell cannot come back unless you're ready for jail time. Innit fuckin' wild how these ridiculously harsh penalties weren't legally enforceable until 30some hours ago?
Yeah, it's illegal in those specific states, but can you specify whether it is illegal, explicitly, to travel to a state to have one, then come back to your state and then be prosecuted for it. Afaik if you cannot be charged for a crime, with specific exceptions, if you committed in a jurisdiction where it wasn't a crime. It's why people get extradited to the state they did the crime in.
This is going to wind up being a massive L for Republicans in the long run when the eventual criminalization of abortion in red states results in:
  1. An acceleration of the brain drain from red states to blue states as educated and upwardly mobile women and couples decide to leave at an even higher rate than they were before.
  2. A significant increase in crime as more children are born into dysfunctional circumstances, increasing the burden upon the community, the taxpayer, and altogether making red states even worse places to live.
  3. The terrible optics of the inevitable news reports of scores of women dying from botched, backstreet abortions, for which the Republican Party will almost certainly receive the blame.
  4. An almost certain increase in the fertility rate of demographics which pretty much unanimously vote Democrat at every level of power.
A massive own goal if ever there was one, and for what? An entirely sentimental victory which is of no practical benefit to anyone.
Why is this a bad thing? I seriously don't get the doom and gloom from people who don't like Republicans. If you think they just shot themselves in the foot. Let them. Why would you be upset. This is a win for you! Be happy. The American public cares so much about the right to kill babies(ignore the numbers of abortions have gone down to half, a significant portion of women of kid having age are on birth control, and contraceptives are still legal[as of now]) that they will overwhelmingly vote for the blues this November! You should be happy! What's the problem?

All the kevetching sounds like sour grapes.

@Make Anime Illegal You think that demographic change at the state level isn't going to impact elections at the federal level? Again, tell me how this isn't a massive L for the Republican Party.
  1. Abortion being banned will discourage those demographics from getting pregnant by using contraception/etc.
  2. Those people can move to blue states that will keep it legal.
  3. You are literally arguing that republicans should not do anything with their power. Why do fucking elections matter if they don't do anything when they fucking win?
  4. The US political system is designed to keep states from having too much power just because they have larger populations. That's why there is a bicameral congress, etc.

We're in the middle of the huwhite race being saved by not huwhites switching to the Republican Party, what a time to be alive

It has that "Fuck optics! I'm going in!" vibe to it.
Do it, Faggot!
