I think you're underestimating his "star power". I would assume after being in so many notorious projects that have achieved worldwide success as a leading/side character? He's probably got about 9 million in his bank account. Also you think he's really gonna be cancelled for this? I doubt it. I think it's unfortunately going to fuel his career and make him a mixture of famous and infamous and he'll probably within 5 or so years make a complete comeback and be praised by people for "overcoming" his issues.
I think he needs to quit this entirely not because I think his work is bad (It's extremely mediocre but it's not objectively bad or awful) but because he clearly cannot handle it. People with these types of mental illness should not have any fame because they will start thinking they are Jesus Christ and start trying to molest and recruit children into a cult [See Onision and Jared Leto].
you're really splitting hairs if you think there is a real difference between 6 and 9 million, again the flash is really his first major starring role, kevin had a budget of $7 million and perks $13 million, and he was 3rd in cast on both so if he made a quarter mil on either his agent would be considered a god. most of his output since Perks has been doing Warnerbros' dc or hp films. but in both franchises its either cameos or 3rd highest billed. he might have a "huge following" online but a.how much is astroturfed and b. how much will stick around after the rolling stone article about his fuck ups.
as we've seen from other canceled people like james franco, louis ck, or kevin spacey you probably can't come back from this just because of insurance reasons or people not willing to hire you, for fucks sake RDJ pretty much had to self finance his insurance bond and was paid scale until dvd release up until ironman and that was in the 2000s when cancellation only happened when you were convicted and sent to prison.
forcing a production studio to write off $200 million on what was tracking to be a billion dollar film will fuck you no matter what, thats a legendary story and legacy. you can't bounce back from that, no company will be able to pay what it would take to bond him nor would they. To put this in perspective its like deciding to be a co-host on the killstream you literally won't be able to wipe the stink off for associating with Ezra if you cast him from here on out.
Another similar actor facing the same blacklisting is armie hammer. he hasn't been charged with anything but the allegations and leaked texts fucked him. the studios had to write off the films he was in. but he won't be back despite that getting much less press than Ezra's antics.
James Franco is another one, he went from appearing in on average 5 films a year to none for sexual allegations, none underage and nothing about guns or drugs.
and both of those guys had a much bigger following, at least off line to where they could theoretically appear in something but can't because of the bond issues.
even if you're pro-fag, its a fuckload harder to say "its overblown" when it involves guns, kids, and cocaine. Even if you are a super lefty, the gun thing should be the nip in the bud, if not the fact that he's preying on BIPOC QUILTBAG kids.
