I think I misremembered that statistic actually. So that's a mistake on my part. There are two things that I think I confused it with. Those being that roughly half of abortions worldwide are 'unsafe' and that roughly half of abortions are done with pills. Although I still think it's safe to say that a lot of abortions are performed through black market sales of abortion drugs, but that is speculation on my part because there's no data to back that up.

It's not the government's responsibility to constitutionally enshrine protecting people from their personal decisions. There's other alternatives before an abortion is even necessary. I haven't heard one legitimate argument as to why this is good not only for society as well as the individual's overall well-being.
