Nothing against the lady but how is this a charity case? Going from the pictures she’s a healthy middle class, and must have enough income to be able to run multiple hobby businesses and do-gooding on the side.

Maybe she is really nice and her friends want to help her out, that’s cool.

But why is she deserving of free cash from strangers to help develop one of her businesses? There are plenty of actual desperate charity cases in that part of the world - hundreds of people lost their homes and all their possessions in the Marshall fire just a few months ago.

Seriously, though, I wish a reporter idly following the story would follow up with the news lady whom the Tranch publically stated also got white powder in the mail. If Zach Hazard is correct, Dental is only if you're completely disabled by your military service. That may actually be vision instead but I distinctly remember the quote of "yeah it's weird, we have a really good dental clinic but no one ever comes here."

I trust a man who served his time in Fort Polk more than the entirety of the Tranch.

It's been a while since I looked into it, but as far as someone in my position (honorable discharge, no disability %), you were only given dental care in the form of an exam if you didn't get one during out-processing. And this was a timeframe of around 6 months after you ETS'd.

Could be completely wrong though.

Though I am shocked that Phil doesn't go no holds bar for a disability rating. Cav Scouts might be gay, but it's also not an easy life. Organizations (and cheat sheets) exist that would push for him to get as high a disability % as possible plus Phil strikes me as the kind of guy who loves government benefits and considers them an earned right.
