Trump Enslavement Syndrome - Orange man good. /r/The_Donald and any public demonstration of rabid pro-Trump enthusiasm in spite of all reason.

If I somehow became President of the United States, I think I'd keep one of those cool backpack super soakers in my office. And whenever the Speaker of the House or the Senate majority/minority leaders were coming over, I'd wait at the door or duck behind the Resolute Desk or something and spray them down once they got within range. The sort of non-violent thing that still ruins their day and gets my point across that I think they're all a bunch of whores.

Maybe I'd keep a couple of them strategically placed around the property in case some corporate leaders show up or the media visit. I'd turn that media room back into a swimming pool though. They can take a dip or buzz off.

if they go after gay marriage, contraceptives and interracial marriage, they're definitely never going to win another election.
Mitch McConnell said if Republicans take congress again, they're gonna go for a nation-wide abortion ban. So much for "MAH STATES RIGHTS"

They're gonna revisit contraceptives, gay marriage and anti-sodomy (aka anti "it's illegal to be gay") laws according to Clarence Thomas's opinion, too. He stopped short of interracial marriage (because he's married to a white woman) but an Indiana senator wants to add it.

How the FUCK do these people have the money to have a Trump addiction this bad and what kind of jobs do they have to support it. Spending 20k on gas gives me nightmares alone.
The first guy is clearly super gay, too. Needs to come out of the closet already. I wonder what his A&N user name is

I want them to go for interracial marriage, gay rights and contraceptives just so that nobody ever votes for them again.

Gas prices are already starting to drop anyway, at least here.
With how radicalized the right in America is becoming, I honestly have doubts about that really mattering, even to truly centrist or centre-right people. They'll remain complicit with Trump cultism because they're likely part of a demographic not affected by those kind of policies and still prefer them over 'tax hiking democrats'.
>20k on gas

Jesus H fucking Christ, what the hell are you driving, a monster truck?
Yes they do. The amount of brodozers that hog the roads with gigantic Trump bumper stickers or flags is impossible to count.

The rulings would incentivize young people to vote. Zoomers are not fans of regressive boomer policies.

Will we be seeing the return of the Democrats as the party of cool fun-havers and the Republicans as the party of religious scolds?
Republicans are definitely the party of religious scolds. Have you seen A&H lately? You got 20 year olds acting like puritanical 75 year old boomers.

I blame the crippling autism and too much time on /pol/

Zoomers voting because their influencer/streamer """"""friends"""" cant get abortions domestically and hate condoms is not how I thought the GOP would ever lose an election, but I'm not going to complain either.
Don't count your chickens before they hatch - I'm old enough to remember these exact same lines said about my generation in 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, etc. The young as a demographic, to date, have never actually shown up in considerable enough numbers to swing an election. Saint Bernard (PBUH) learned that lesson the hard way, twice.

It is theoretically possible that it's different this time, but it would be an iconoclastic event. If you study the student movement in the US, you quickly begin to realize that a bunch of rich yuppies drastically overplayed their importance to the civil rights movement, and outside of taking credit for the work of MLK Jr, they didn't really get a whole lot done. The antiwar movement disliked being lumped in with the student movement, and (again) the rich yuppies drastically overplayed their contributions to the antiwar movement and took credit for a lot of other organizers' work. If the under-24 demo actually turns out for the midterms, it will be an historic event.

He probably is. Or travels a lot for legit reasons.
For real tho, 20k per year is almost twice the average salary in my country and gas is also cheaper in the US.
Why do Americans have to drive big gas guzzling cars tho? Here in Europe most choose a diesel hatchback for the car, unless they have to carry stuff.

These diesels do almost 60 mpg on the highway and would be perfect for Americans who commute by car a lot. Some do even more, like the 3rd gen Daihatsu Charade turbo diesel. This can get up to 70 mpg if you're lucky.

The Geo Metro was hailed as a super fuel efficient car, and yet a VW Golf mk3 TDI with more space had similar mileage and was a better car all around.

Unless he's a long-haul truck driver, $20k on gas is insane.

Even if you drive a ways to work, you're talking maybe a fill up every week. Even 1 fill up a week, at $60, would be "only" $3.1k per year.

people love to shit on twitter activists, but danny devito's tweet got over 1 million likes. many people are pissed
A poll was just released - 50% of Democrats said they're more likely to vote after Roe was repealed, while only 28% of Republicans said the same.

Perhaps this is a pyrrhic victory for the right?

This is an interesting poll result. I'm not sure what to make of it, but it seems like the Democrats may be more energized to vote after Roe was repealed. This could be a good thing for them in the long run, but only time will tell.
