Even in Western-ish Europe, you know, the places Americans think all Europeans come from and live, Germoney, France, half of Italy, the UK and sometimes Spain, but never Portugal, there's so much interesting historical shit or great works of fiction that have never really been adapted into videogames, at least successfully. Shit like the Song of Roland, Ring of the Nibelungs (I know about the games, I wish I didn't), Charlemagne and the baller shit the Frankish kings got up to, the Muslim attempts on Spain. Then you go slightly further east and you get the stories of the winged hussars, the Siege of Szigetvar, the battle of Sinj, etc., etc.. There's probably a million interesting things you could make entire videogames out of between the years of 999 and 1999.

But the white man's story has been told because we got Assassin's Creed and about 900 games about vikangz in the last five years, so there's nothing else, and only games about spearchuckers chucking spears should be made in the future.

Funnily enough, he wouldn't be wrong in most historical games. Ancient Rome? We got black people. Egypt? Yes. Far Eastern game? Sure, we got them as well. But Middle Ages Bohemia? Oh right, you thought Bohemia was the ArmA 3 developer, didn't you James.
