To be fair, as best we know, the pedo defending cropped up recently. Thousands listened to this man’s unfiltered yelling without suspecting it. I think she is just stuck with him at this point. Though I doubt he wasn’t cheating beforehand, so she is stupid on that front.
It’s kinda like the Ballad of Shoeonhead, whom I dislike, misjudging Greg. Almost everyone who mocked her for that also believes women shouldn’t ever nag or upset their man so it’s hard to take their advice credibly.
It’s actually a good summation on why Dax’s BASED ideas about the genders aren’t really the basis for any kind of sane social order.
Dax is correct. Women probably do find the idea of competing with a creepy weirdo pretty insulting.
But that’s a good thing. Obviously.
What matters is what they plan to do about it. If the worst thing you can say about someone doing good things is they find some personal fulfillment in them then you don’t have much to say.
Your interests and inclinations aren’t a random part of your personality. They’re as telling as any charity might be. Having an interest against perverted spectacle is healthy.
Somehow the libertarian doesn’t realize that people’s interests aren’t inherently bad if they’re rationally produced and serviced. You can’t just say “aha, you had a slightly selfish undercurrent to your opinion therefore this good thing is now bad.” Most people can weigh small scale situations pretty objectively and inherently trust people whose interests cut against bad things.
It really isn’t an exaggeration to say his worldview is just “woman bad” when he thinks like this. When he just assumes a selfish motive from normal women (but not the drag queens). And, of course, he actually does nothing that won’t benefit him. So he’s either projecting or deep down he knows his money is all he can actually offer a woman and the only way he can even have a shot seducing them.
