I honestly thought it was a joke up until it happened. Rossman posted claiming he had never heard of the event beforehand, but actually ended up being a panelist. I have no idea what his idea was. Its not like his guests were total nobodies either. Rossman has alot of subscribers and Yarvin is pretty influential. Im genuinely confused as to what he was thinking. I don't think being stoned out of his mind could even explain the confusing (and almost nonexistent) advertising and lack of notice.

The main problem with lightfest seemed to be the utter failure of marketing: announced 2 weeks prior with a vague trailer,no mention of specific location or time hell many of the few people who watched the video were uncertain if it was a joke or not.Glink didn't even come through with many of the people he promised in the trailer,rusty cage was cut from the trailer[i'm guessing him and Rossman were not even asked to appear at the convention beforehand though maybe Glink convinced the latter later on],Boogie didn't show up and it seems there wasn't even anything lined up for him if he did and Destiny bounced likely realizing the shitshow that it was[I don't like Destiny but I'll give him credit for his foresight here].Just a total embarrassment for Glink here though unlike others I doubt internet historian will make a video on it as it doesn't seem interesting enough to warrant one.

And to think that according to Glink's twitter (A) this whole shitshow was "the culmination of [his] life's work for the past 3 months".

I can't wrap my head around it, and I absolutely refuse to believe that more than 3 days of planning have gone into this.
Still, I remain curious how his story/downfall will continue.

His entire life’s work is a great big confused mess hastily put together. Seems like a desperate grasp for relevancy. Hope the guy doesn’t kill himself when he gets a low turn out.

Edit: now it makes sense, the dude was in LA. As we all know, talented and often rational people enter LA and come out…like this. That combined with mental illness and whatever drugs he’s on seems to be one of culminating factors.

He’s done a lot of videos on his second channel about taking psychedelic drugs. I wouldn’t be surprised if this entire thing is the result of a major drug trip hence the flowery language “culmination of his life’s work” more accurately “culmination of all the shrooms I’ve been taking”.

He’s pretty bad faith in his presenation of any dissident argument (against his views which we all know aren’t flaky at all, totally guysss). You could put it down to autism or simply say that he’s actually stupid and you’d still be right, maybe I’m being generous by believing he’s being disingenuous on purpose.
