Trump-endorsed State Senator Darren Bailey is full-on MAGA. The more politically-atuned hope was Jesse Sullivan, who gave off Youngkin vibes.
Bailey's had it made before Trump's endorsement. With it, however, he's dominating hard. So hard in fact, that he might have a shot against Pritzker. He's what McGeachin from Idaho should have been: genuinely MAGA personally and more genuine on the issues. Both of those are making him barnstorm his way through.
Richard Irving, the establishment-backed candidate isn't even winning a county, if NYT is correct. Fucking pathetic.

Not IL-related but saw an interesting poll out from Rhode Island today which shows a Republican +6 for their second district. No damn idea how viable this is (it's a hypothetical match-up since their primary is in September), but if New England seats like this are in play oh boy

Bailey is being pushed as a hick-from-the-sticks "Christofascist" sort with the media smear pieces. From what I hear, Pritzker is backdoor bankrolling him and spending tens of millions of to smear the competitor to Bailey. Its a lot like Hillary Clinton thinking Donald Trump was a cake walk and bragging about how she was spending resources to get Republicans to back him, "Operation Pied Piper" was the term for that tactic. I desperately hope it backfires on that little Pritzker rat. Its unlikely, but I think it is more likely for a full-MAGA fuck Chicago candidate to win than some sort of pussyboy Republicrat with "strong performance with women and in the suburbs." That's such a stale play.

In general no. They deem you as President at risk, no matter how miniscule? They will do whatever is necessary to get you out of harm's way regardless of your complaints. Taking the oath of office means losing a lot of privacy and freedom of movement the average person otherwise takes for granted.

The magic juice causes a tolerance to build up over time, requiring more and more of it to get the same effect. Given Biden's age and health, the more they drug him up the greater the chances that his heart will give out and he'll keel over at a televised G7 nations conference or something.
