the Kiwi forum had a narrative that the admin over there was actually sympathetic towards Near and tried to help him not get harassed. There was also at one point a story that Near had been on the phone / voice chat with someone they knew and heard him stop talking and listened to some record play for awhile instead of apparently doing anything to try to get help. There's no 100% narrative either way on this tale, I would not be surprised if they did just want to get out of the public eye but who knows
