A lot of vtubers try to be risque or "yabai" to be cool and edgy, as opposed to "lame idols", if you check twitter or reddit you can see the eternal ratrace of the indies trying to out-degenerate eachother by doing "YABAI" things that really are just annoying and make them look like desperate vshojo rejects.

Trannies have been trying to co-opt trap for a while now so that they could then be offended at people using it for its original meaning.
