It's summertime, and people are out doing things and spending money on things that aren't dumb like giving money to streamers. Also we don't have lockdowns which means less viewers for streams. Netflix for example is suffering from this as well. And of course Phil is not entertaining so screw the idea of gaining new supporters

I love how confidently incorrect Phil is. We've been really distracted with the keeememeage some smaller gems are slipping through the cracks.

This dudes gripe with the cup head dlc. No way it took 4 years to draw and animate those games. Back in the day companies like Disney took months to draw and animate those films. No way a modern day animation studio is taking 4 fucking years to do that. That's lazy as hell. Diseny hand drew full length movies in months in like the 40s... Phil says as much so fucking smugly.

It took Disney 4 fucking years to draw animate and edit together snow white.

So yeah, maybe it does take 4 years to hand draw, animate, edit, and code 5 hours worth of gameplay. I mean they probably weren't working on it that long. But by your exact fucking definition of what a quality animator would do, it's literally spot on.

But diseny made those movies by hand sooooo fasttttt. WRONG. And ILLEGAL lol.


Anyways congrats to keem this has been a fun couple days. Can't wait to see where the weekend takes us.

3a. Relying on 3-4 people makes your financial situation incredibly volatile, as at any time one of them could just decide they don't want to watch DSP anymore and suddenly your income drops ~25%. The moment one of them has an accident, gets laid off, loses interest, etc, the whole house of cards collapses.

Yeah Phil has zero idea how long it takes to animate anything especially something as high quality as Cuphead.

A few months back I went digging on his Instagram looking for something and it’s bizarre, almost cute, how retarded he was in the very early days when he thought he was going to be a big internet star.
He excitedly posts pictures of meals, films and snow in his garden, trying to be like other bloggers but without their charisma and with his autism/retardation it comes across as a bit sad.

It dawned on me 2013 DSP could very easily be a dent in 2022’s chat, the posts were that bad.
It also occurred to me what a number the trolls have done on him. He used to, like in the video you posted, scurry around all excited, chattering away. Now he sits there, docile, shouting and lashing out at people.

Bonus - early Instagram also contains a pic of what looks like Ma Burnell. It’s side on but better than that blurry pic that goes round. Leanna looks bored as fuck to be stood talking to her.

This was also still during his heyday so not only was he making big time money, but his videos were still raking in tons of views and he had actual fans who weren't dents. So his comment section was relatively still filled with ACTUAL positive comments instead of people shitting on him. But you reap what you sow. It dawned on more and more people how much of an asshole Phil was, that it wasn't an act, that he refused to listen to any form of criticism and you had more let's players who would edit their videos instead of spamming 40+ ten minute videos of terrible gameplay with no edits at all.

Also, he said he had to go back and edit his content or some shit to not get into trouble and he said "whitewashing" his content. Another word he has no idea what it means.

One of the most entertaining things about DSP I find is his ego and pride vs money, it's like a war in his head on who will prevail because he's done a lot of sell out shit for money and sometimes he would rather worry about his ego than money. It's so perplexing and interesting. The retitling his "podcast" to the level 1 podcast is peak ego. He has to get back at ANYONE who crosses him. I swear, he must have a list full of people who even slightly messed with him.

DSP is big time Dunning-Kruger, so confident when he knows so little, and the epitome of that Bukowski quote about 'the problem with the world is that the stupidest people have the most confidence while the smartest ones are full of doubts'. It's definitely, for me personally, one of the most maddening things he does. I just hate people in general who are just completely wrong and speak with the snide confidence and condescension like he does.

The reason why he didn't beg much today or on Tuesday is because now everyone knows about the 50K. He would look awful if he started begging for tips Right away. Give it a couple stream and the begging will be insane

I know other people have chimed in on this, but all you have to remember whenever you think Phil is doing something for optic reasons is the cat reveal. He gives zero fucks about what a scumbag he looks like. It's only been about a month since he practically demanded tips a day after he got 100 gifted memberships. It would very likely be the behavior of somebody who feels guilt or shame, but those things are completely foreign to him, and the paypigs don't care.
