I think she's just dumb. Aside from unbanning the word, her opinion has remained consistent: she never had an issue with the words 'trap' and 'futa' and never considered them an inherent slur, but felt like people in her chat were using them incorrectly and to describe characters she'd just met which made her uncomfortable.

She went about curbing it in a retarded way, realised it was retarded, and then undid it. An ultimately pointless venture, but at this point, people who still remember what grass looks and feels like would consider the ordeal settled.

This is why the best way to do stuff like this if you are a vtuber, streamer, etc is just do the thing you want to do, don't apologize about it, don't explain it, and move on. Nina IMO falls in the category of someone who knows enough about politics to know when to bring it up and when not to. It was fine in her PL, it would not be fine now. One may disagree with her political takes but I think they come out of a greater position of intelligence than Finana's, which seem to be more just influenced by Twitter movements.

There are a few other NijiEN livers who I think have a similar sort of awareness as Nina. Like Fulgur (a bit ironic, due to him being associated with arguably the biggest NijiEN yab), Pomu, Petra, and Selen. Finana falls into the bad category of being dumb about politics and being more tempted to step on these landmines than most others.
