Anti-gunners, who are almost universally leftists, often claim that ‘assault weapons’ are stand-ins to cover impotence and/or that they look like big black dicks.
So I really don’t understand how leftists, who grool collectively over the thought of big black dicks, have such an issue with them.

I do not agree with this post for a variety of reasons. First, it conflates leftists with anti-gunners, which is not always the case. There are plenty of people on the left who support gun rights and plenty of people on the right who are against guns. Second, even if we assume that all leftists are anti-gunners (which again, is not true), it does not follow that because they like big black dicks they should also like assault weapons. Just because two things are unrelated does not mean that one must lead to or be caused by the other. Finally, this argument relies heavily on stereotypes about both groups of people involved - namely that all leftists grool over big black dicks and that assault weapons necessarily look like big black dicks. Not only is this untrue but it's offensive and perpetuates harmful myths about both groups.

EDIT: citing Wikipedia is lame and gay but it doesn’t list 18 mass shootings in any year in Australian history, and it also lists several mass shootings that have happened after the Port Arthur massacre. So… making shit up again, are we?

The former PM claimed it. 100% it's a dodgy number that includes domestic murders, but I can't find better pre-1996 stats. If I wanted to be very, very conservative I'd put our number at around 1-2 publicised "retard shoots up some randoms" incidents per year from the 80's to the ban.

I'm not sure what there is to disagree on. We had regular mass shootings until we did gun control, now we have zero mass shootings. I'm not saying that's worth giving up your gun rights over, or that it would work the same way in America where gun culture is vastly different, but there's very little room to conclude anything other than "Australia's 1996 gun control reform did immediately and permanently stop their random mass shootings".

You take a firearm into a school or other venue of choice and unload upon the locals, you're pretty much guaranteed your face and name on national news, if nothing else.

By law, news media should be required to leave the report at "Some fag shot up a supermarket in Buffalo" and then only talk about the victims from that point on.

None of these attacks were mass shootings, unless you want to use those elastic anti-gun lobby definitions you just complained about.
